I stayed here twice during my trip to Ethiopia, and it truly felt like a calm, elegant base in Addis. The rooms are clean and spacious, with great showers and very comfortable beds. The staff are professional, warm, and helpful — they even kept my main suitcase safely while I was in Lalibela. The location is perfect: you can walk almost everywhere, and there are great spots nearby like Little China and Mezzeh Salad Bar, both super convenient for quick meals. Everything about this hotel made my stay easy and pleasant. I love it — and will definitely be back here during my future stays in Addis!

The staff, airport shuttle and close proximity to the airport

There was definitely nothing Grand about this hotel. First and foremost, this hotel is definitely not a 5 star hotel! At most 3 star! We booked the Presidential Suite and I was looking forward to a room with some grandeur finishing all we saw was a run down hotel room which was a HUGE disappointment. The furniture were all worn out, the A/c was not working and room had a stench. The so called minibar had no mini fridge. The pictures on booking.com did not match what we saw. The only good thing was the staff who were helpful and the airport shuttle. To resolve the issue with the a/c, they gave us a fan to use and when it became chilly, we couldn’t adjust the temperature because there was no button/thermostat to adjust the room temperature. I definitely would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. It was just terrible

I picked The Grand Palace for its location and the interior. The staff was very attentive and I really enjoyed my stay. Definitely planning to stay here next time I'm in Ethiopia. Spacious gym, breakfast included. Great deal.

"Waardig om terug te komen met super behulpzame en vriendelijke personeel."

Ontbijt was prima. Elke dag wat anders, goede variatie. Personeel was zeer behulpzaam en vriendelijk. Leuke nieuwe contacten gemaakt. Echt heel tevreden over het personeel en de ligging van het hotel. Kazansich is zeer dichtbij Bole. En veel leuke restaurants en cafe's in de buurt van het hotel. Lekker veel gelopen. Ook een veilige omgeving! Alle taxi's kennen dit hotel, dus niemand hoefde dit te zoeken.
