We arrived late at night and Josh was very helpful and accommodating. He made our experience even better! We decided to stay another night and Pips was another very friendly and helpful employee at the front desk that made it nice and easy. We will be staying at these kind of hotels again! Oh and the hallways smell amazing.

So many good things to say about my recent stay…..I will definitely return to this property. Every aspect of my visit was positive, from the friendliness/knowledge of the entire staff, the cleanliness of the property, the spacious clean room, the complimentary breakfast…Too Notch all the way!

Room was clean as well as the bathroom, staff was very kind and helpful, I've stayed at many hotels and this is one of the better ones I've been to. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing to stay in the area. Lots of local shopping and activities as well.

The staff at this hotel were excellent. They greeted me when I can through the doors. I did not have to ask for my complimentary water and snack for Hilton honor members. They gave me a bag at checkin! My room was warm and clean. I did not have any complaints with my stay. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice and clean hotel in the Kalamazoo, MI area.

I booked a 2-queen room directly through the hotel’s website two months before my stay, expecting a smooth check-in for my family of four. Instead, upon arrival for my two-night stay, I was given a 1-king room—a configuration that simply did not work for my family. I assumed this would be an easy fix since my confirmation email clearly stated that I had paid for and reserved a 2-queen room. However, the polite front desk employee informed me that all 2-queen rooms were “under construction” and unavailable. This was frustrating for two major reasons: If this were true, the hotel should have notified me in advance. A simple call or email would have allowed me to make alternate arrangements instead of being blindsided at check-in. A high school wrestling team checked in as I was being told all 2-queen rooms were under construction. I highly doubt they were all placed in 1-king rooms, making me question whether this was a truthful statement. The manager was never present and only communicated through the front desk employee, who was clearly uncomfortable delivering the bad news. Instead of offering a real solution, I was simply told I was “out of luck” and given a measly $40 discount—not exactly an acceptable resolution. Ultimately, I canceled both nights and booked at another hotel in the same building. The service there was excellent—they accommodated my family, provided a discounted rate, free breakfast, and free parking to make up for the inconvenience caused by Home2 Suites. If you are considering this hotel and require a specific room type, I highly recommend calling the day of your stay to confirm. Otherwise, you may find yourself in the same disappointing situation. Customer service from the management was nonexistent, and I won’t be returning.

We arrived on Friday evening. It was a bit loud with a wrestling tournament and only one elevator working. Impossible to get hot water out of the sink in bathroom. And there was no extra toilet paper - only what was on the holder. Called to get a roll and I had to go down and get it myself :) We have always stayed on the Hilton side. This was a first on the Home2Suites. Property is in a favorable location.
