Econo Lodge Montgomery South I-65

We were in the room a total of 2 minutes and we left. It was the nastiest thing I’ve ever seen.

We did not stay here!! We would've been robbed/jacked before sundown...or worse! This property should be condemned!! It is in a horrible location, being right next to a run-down, low income, apartment complex...with broken cars and trash everywhere. We drove through the side parking lot and the grass was severely overgrown, like it was abandoned, but, there were 2 cars that were parked as though they looked like they'd be guests. There was a broken down car on the opposite side of the lot. Looks like it's been there a while. The outside looks NOTHING like the pictures online. Online, it looks like an older place, but, taken care of. You can't tell by the oictures that that it is actually located in the hood!! The whole area is full of abandoned and broken down buildings that should be demolished. We were going to take pictures to send to the Best Western people, but, we were honestly too afraid to stay there for any length of time.

I’d reserved and got this room on same day which was a Friday. I reserved the room from hotels.com based off of friendly friendly and the pictures which looks ok for a night and the amenities. First off I would like to say the pics don’t nothing like what you see on hotels.com. I wouldn’t say this is family friendly at all. This looks like a truckers stop. My kids was so scared they was willing to just sleep in the car. Only reason we didn’t sleep in car is because we don’t know the area and didn’t look safe. Once going to our room noticed broken toilet seat and looks as someone used it without cleaning before we came. Dirty wash cloths and towels, which my husband showed and they had him throw away verse them taking it and apologizing. The shower looks disgusting, would dare shower in it afraid you’ll catch something. Top sheet of the bed dirty had to take it off one bed. Very poor lighting even with all lights on. Very hard and uncomfortable beds. Window wasn’t locked and we was on first floor and no screen in it either, very unsafe situation, anyone could of broke in if we didn’t check. Floors are hardwood,which isn’t an issue but at least mop the floor before guest stay. Floor was so filthy all of our feet end up black after taking shoes off for couple minutes. On the hotel website it mention breakfast, but when going get breakfast on a Saturday morning with kids they was closed due to under construc

The hotel was so dumpy.and every car in the parking lot had been vandalized with people dealing drugs on the property and besides it. Prostitutes walking around. I walked in and asked the clerk for a refund and he said I would have to deal with hotels.co. on that. It was such a bad of a place that I told the clerk I would not stay there. I would not let my family out of the car on the property much less stay there. I drove off without hesitation because the place was so unsafe. When I called hotels.com the wouldn't give me a refund they just gave me a $20 voucher for the next stay with their service. The pictures on hotels com do not show any of the bad pictures on the property.

We arrived at 11:16pm to find a note on the door stating "doung rounds be back shortly" .Finally a little over an hour later, a car pulls up and drops the front desk lady off. By this point there are 5 parties/people waiting to check in. She never apologized for our wait or anything. After all this we finally get to our room that was HOT because the air was turned off and the room was very dirty. I have pictures.

I was double charged. They ran my card at the hotel and Expedia charged me also I need a refund

Office closed. Waited 20 minutes still no one Had to go on down road to find one open. Called they said they close for 30 minutes all the time will not pay for or recommend to anyone.

The property is older and poorly maintained. The hallways were dirty. The room was awful. There was a ring around the toilet. Towels were dirty. The floor had not been cleaned as there was food under the bed. Sheets were stained.

You can tell the owners are really trying to improve this property but it's not there yet. The linens in our room were stained and I did not feel comfortable in the part of town this hotel is located. We ended up leaving and finding another room a few exits up the road.
