Las habitaciones , el aire acondicionado,las camas , las almohadas y las cobijas SÚPER !!!!! El baño extraordinario con un agua caliente fantástica !!! Quizás la puerta en vidrio de la ducha desajustada y no cerrada correctamente permitiendo que el agua salpicara el exterior de la ducha !!! El personal muy amable especialmente Luis, Margarita y Juan Carlos a quienes conocí mejor !!! Lo mejor fue el desayuno buffet simplemente extraordinario !!!! En el Quinto piso una zona de piscina y asoleadoras y unas mesas para trabajar muy apropiadas y agradables, vecinas al área de masajes cuyas masajistas son muy profesionales y amables !

Quedé muy satisfecho con la estadía y con la ubicación del Hotel !! El personal de vigilancia a la entrada del hotel muy amables y diligentes !! En la esquina del hotel un Cafecito maravilloso !!!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Don Luis and highly recommend. The hotel architecture is absolutely gorgeous. Additional detailed comments below 1. The room that we stayed in was perfectly sized for two, the bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was also beautiful (including rainfall shower with great pressure!). The only caveat is that the toilet does not have a separate enclosed space for privacy and the bathroom itself doesn't have a door. Other than this, we really loved the room. 2. The amenities included with the hotel stay were plentiful and we took advantage of them all. a.) Breakfast is extensive with made-to-order eggs, fresh fruits and juices, and coffee. I would recommend that they stock non-dairy milks (soy, oat, almond) for coffee in the morning. b.) the pool wasn't working while we were there, but we enjoyed sitting around the pool each morning for our morning breakfast. c.) despite the pool being out of order, there was a jacuzzi (not warm/hot) that we could use on the top floor. the top deck was a nice spot for relaxing. 3. The hotel was centrally located and we were a 5-20min walk from most of the sites and restaurants that we wanted to go to. 4. Staff were amazing. A special shout out to Eduardo Galindo who helped us with making a reservation for a boat ride/day trip to Rosario Island as well as checking in to make sure we were comfortable. In addition, the kitchen/wait staff were all super warm and attentive, during our stay. In all, we had a relaxing and care-free stay, while visiting Cartagena/Colombia. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone else considering this hotel.

Tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa en Casa Don Luis!!!! :) Everyone was so kind and welcoming. This is the type of hotel where each detail is executed with care, from the complimentary straw hats and beach bag in the room, to the delicious fresh juices at check in. The ambience is very chic and quiet, and the location is ideal - very close to the best shopping in the city. Hasta pronto!!!!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! The breakfast and the facilities were excellent. Arley’s breakfast was always delicious, and he greeted us every morning with a big smile. We visited in September, on a trip my husband and I had been planning for a long time for our first time in Cartagena, and it was truly incredible. Luis was attentive to us throughout the entire stay—he guided us through the best activities and even arranged a tour to a beautiful island. We thought it might rain, but everything turned out to be exciting and unforgettable. Thank you, Luis and Faranda Team! See you again soon! So lovely days.

The property has a great location and is undeniably beautiful, but considering the price point and the competitive options available nowadays, we expected an experience that felt more elevated and memorable. Unfortunately, several details fell short. Pool & Common Areas The pool is located directly inside the restaurant area, which makes it awkward to enjoy. We wanted to swim, but there wasn’t a proper space to relax afterward — just two benches and dining tables around. The jacuzzi upstairs was an alternative, but it was dirty with bird droppings. I understand that nature is part of the environment, but more frequent cleaning or dedicated staff would make a difference. Room The room itself was extremely dark. There were no windows and not enough lighting to compensate. While the room felt clean, the darkness made it impossible to actually see much. As two girls, we couldn’t even use the mirror properly — you simply can’t see your face clearly, which is a big inconvenience. Breakfast Breakfast was nice, but not at the level expected. Several items finished quickly and were not replaced. I asked for papaya twice and was told they didn’t have any more, which felt more like an excuse than an actual shortage. Turndown Service & Details Attention to detail was inconsistent. The first night, turndown service left one strawberry for two guests — honestly, better to leave nothing than something that feels careless. The next night we received two small cookies, which was nicer. At check-in, there were two simple hats, a canvas bag, and a toy puppy with a QR code showing it was for purchase. Because the bag had the hotel’s name printed in large letters, and considering the hotel’s price range, we genuinely thought the hats and bag were courtesy gifts, as many resorts offer. Hats especially are personal-use items and not something that can (or should) be reused for hygiene reasons, which made it even more confusing.

This is a nice, clean, and comfortable hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast is just okay, nothing remarkable, but the same restaurant serves lunch and dinner with good-quality food, which is a big plus. The rooftop area is pleasant, though it does feel a bit abandoned and underused, which is a missed opportunity considering the space.

I would say they could improve with the breakfast and the rooftop.

Perfect in every sense. The location, the staff, the vibe!
