It’s a beautiful machiya, and it’s obvious that a lot of attention to detail was paid during its renovation. Many Machiya will kinda shudder and shake when folks move through it or open doors, this one however feels solid through and through.

We found a cockroach and evidence of more on our last night (cockroach poop etc). The staff’s response was “We’re sorry you felt uncomfortable”. There was 0 attempt of service recovery. I understand it’s an old house, but the glib response is what will turn me away from the property in the future. Additionally, they only have tiny trash cans! Even if you aren’t trying to produce too much waste, it’s impossible to not fill it if you’re traveling with a group.

it was cosy and had enough room for us. location wise it was convenient and easy via foot or taxi.

not a dislike but if the TV was located at the family room (with the Low table) it would have been better as we like to gather there as a family after a long day of sight seeing :)
