Location superb easy walking to everywhere we needed to go.

Noise was bad being in the front and blackout blinds would have been better

The apartment had a very central position in Hereford. It was extremely clean and there was a bottle of milk in the fridge when we arrived.

We didn't like receiving an ultimatum for an extra £250 'damage deposit' two days before arrival without warning. On the Friday the keycode to the front door was changed during the day, meaning we arrived home in the dark, it was pouring with rain, only to find that we couldn't get in. (We had been in the cathedral all day and then out for a meal so our phones had been switched off); several phone calls, soaking wet and half-an-hour later we managed to get in. The apartment overlooks the main square but unfortunately the windows offered very little protection from the noise of people, vehicles and the market being set up and sleep was hard to achieve. There were too many pointless communications before arrival.

Location excellent.apartment spacious and light filled.

The booking process was overly complicated with several steps requiring proof of ID. The rental was not directly managed by booking.com but by a British rental firm hence the issues with access and payment. I was charged by both although I did get the refund after several phone calls. I was unable to get key codes easily as the link would not get beyond a certain point. As if this wasn't enough when we finally arrived the code which contained numbers as well as a plus sign and a comma did not work! Apparently two numbers had to be pressed simultaneously before the third. Luckily as another tenant was exiting we found out from him how to do it. The whole booking process and access was a nightmare. Then....we had to checkout online and the latest checkout on the link was 2.30am!!!! The times would not scroll down to 10.am which is when we left. In all..a great apartment but beware of the booking and access pitfalls.

It's never a good sign when earplugs are next to the bed, but it wasn't a problem over the BH weekend. The flat is well appointed and generally clean. The main issue I had was the temperature in the flat. It is south facing and restrictors on the windows present any decent airflow. There were two 'coolers' in the flat i.e. £70 fans, but these were completely inadequate and didn't actually cool the place. The twin room smelt of body odour but the rest of the property was fine. Location is right in the centre (above JD Sports) so be mindful of drunks shouting outside and antics around the bull statue.
