ontbijt: gewoon. kamer : één wasbak zonder verlichting en te kleine spiegel er was zelfs geen flesje water op de kamer. ruim bed maar slechte matras.

"Nice but not spectacular"

This hotel is perfectly located in the historic center of Gouda. It is architecturally beautiful and interesting. Our room (for a family of 3) was roomy and comfortable despite the awkward split between the shower/sink area and the toilet area. However it felt more like the historic heritage hotels you can find in Europe (such as paradores) instead of a R&C. The service was straightforward and standard but not at the level we’d expect from a 5* place. There were few luxury amenities. Had i expected a 4* hotel at an equivalent rate I would be very pleased.
