Second visit, just as lovely as the first time around. Will be staying every year. Feels homely, safe and lovely and quiet after a busy day out with the kids.

Going home

Home from home had everything we needed for a comfortable stay! Great walks on cliffs and beach minutes away, area was so quiet and peaceful! House clean and tidy!

Hot water a little iffy, lots of water out of overflow which was a little noisy when running a bath or shower but wouldn’t put us off staying again!

Fantastic cottage, the owners have thought of everything to make our stay first class.

We had no hot water, poor for my 86yr old Mum, but dealt with promptly and efficiently by the owner, satisfactory outcome, thank you!

The whole house was beautiful and quiet, clean and really well equipped. Ideal place for bird lovers going to visit the cliffs.

Everything location brilliant

A comfortable, well equipped 2 bed cottage, in a peaceful location. Easy parking right outside. Nicely furnished with plenty of space and good kitchen equipment. Lovely walks right from the cottage and a 10 min drive from Bempton Cliffs and puffins and gannets.

Nothing.

Quiet location but close to shop, pubs and restaurant to reach without needing to drive.

Property was only superficially clean and we had expected a higher standard of cleanliness for the price paid. Oven particularly dirty. Kitchen sink tap very loose - it lasted the week but desperately needs a plumbers attention. Bathroom power shower worked well but always flooded the floor as it was impossible to contain the water within the fixed shower screen and we needed to dry the floor with towels after every use. Main bedroom mattress too uncomfortable for my wife to sleep on. Lighting in the lounge was dim and not helped by the blocking effect of the outdated wooden slat window blinds. It's time to replace the lounge seating and do a repainting job

Great location and well equipped

It wasn’t clean, some areas had clearly never been cleaned like the cooker hood. Such a shame. Also the dishwasher was full of dirty pots.

The generous sized bedrooms, the comfortable sofa bed, well stocked kitchen, welcome chocolates and fizz, easy to use radiators, spare sheets and bedding.

Some dirty items left in a bedroom drawer, only 4 kitchen chairs, no cereal bowls, out of date uht milk supplied.
