Great Wolf Lodge Manteca

wish the outdoor pool was open during the week, but other than that, we had a fantastic time, great rooms, the staff is amazingly friendly, no issues whatsoever with anyone including guests.

The online reservation process was excellent. They keep you informed before and during your visit via text. The experience for kids is excellent with a host things to do. The water park opening is a little late 10AM. I don't care for the late check in 4pm. And the cost for late checkout is costly. Parking is $19 but you can go in and out. #18 for a daily locker is too much . $53 for the breakfast package for 3 is costly but convenient to not have to leave. The lazy river is like a freeway with people running and swimming as well as floating on tubes. Don't get a room on the highway side unless traffic noise doesn't bother you. It would be nice if there were military discounts besides just the room rate. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Diego displayed excellent customer service on the ropes course. Overall it was a very nice experience.

This property had sommuch tondonfor the family. The environment is so fun. Wish we coildve stayed longer. We will definitely go back

Everything cool

I like everything at Great Wolf Lodge except the self serve machine doesn’t work and we have to wait hours to check in. It is difficult with children. Otherwise I rate 5 stars.

The room:We bought a coupon from Groupon for one night in the biggest suite that can accommodate up to 8-9 persons. We went with our daughter, son-in-law and 4 grandkids age 6, 9, and 12. The suite has 2 bedrooms. The larger room has 2 queen beds and the master suite has one king bed and a bathroom with shower. There’s another bathroom outside with a bathtub. The sitting are has a sleeper sofa can sleep 2 people and if must, another person can sleep on the other sofa. The rooms, sitting and the bathrooms are very spacious and very comfortable for all 7 of us. We asked for extra pillows and blanket for the sleeper in the living room. The bedding are bright white and the room is clean, there is a small refrigerator and coffee machine in the room. There’s also a microwave on the floor by the ice machine. The water park: There’s a Hugh indoor water park inside with a waving pool, big and small water slides, lazy rivers, and splashing water areas for all age kids. All the water entertainments are no deeper than 5’ so they are all suitable for all age kids. You still need to keep a close eye on younger kids and don’t count on the lifeguards there because of the crowd size. We went in August so it was crowdy but it was not like “overcrowded “. Most older kids can keep themselves entertained amongst the different area. There’s a large outside pool that actually gives a fresh air if people don’t like the damp air and loud noise indoor. Food : the food choices are ice cream, donuts, pizza, pasta, hot dogs, hamburgers, candies, not the most healthy kid but hey, you’re on vacation. I have to say the prizes for the food actually is reasonable, not crazy expensive Iike in Disney Land. The taste of the food are decent too. That’s a surprise. Extra activities: you can pay extra for rock climbing, bowling, and arcade games. I would suggest to pay as you go instead of paying crazy price for a bundle activities before hand. Because not everyone in your family would enjoy the same activities. The climbing activity was $15 per person $45 for a family up to 4 people at the door. Anothe tip is we booked only one night but the lodge allows you to use the water park for 2 days. So we went there at 10 in the morning when it opened and left the luggage in the car until the room was ready ( they actually told us the room was ready at 2 pm instead of 4 pm) . We checked out the next day and put our luggage in the car then spend the rest of the day in the park. I think 2 days playing in the water was just right for us. My grandkids have so much fun! Anothe tip is go there when it opens at 10 am. To check in so you can enjoy the park earlier and avoid the crowd. We still waited 30 minutes to complete the check in. Had we went there after lunch, the wait for check in would have been horrible. The only things I really don’t like is the check wait is too long and the water is really salty. You figure out why that is. That’s why I give it a 3 stars review instead of 4. Hey, what do you expect, it’s a place full of kids with small bladders. Overall, I think the deal we got from Groupon was a good deal ( I paid a little over $500 for one night including the water park admission for up to 8 people. It is normal $70 pp just for the water park, not including the room). I think we will go there again as long as my grandkids want to.

My family went for a birthday celebration. I booked a room from the website for a deluxe suite for a family of up to 12 with an accessible bathroom. When we checked in the room we were given did not meet the specifications listed on the site. There was 1 sofabed missing, one tv and and a different layout that did not include the accessible bathroom in the room we reserve for it to be in. We went back to the help desk and was basically told the room we booked did not exist and was an error on their website. We were then told that the room we were given was the only one available so our option was to take it or go to another hotel. Because of the situation, going to another hotel was not an option so we made due with the room we were given. We were offered 50% off outlr 2 night stay as compensation. We celebrated my nefews birthday and made the most of the weekend. Some of our family decided to stay another night and was given the room we were told did not exist and when I got my invoice the reimbursement was $260 less then promised. It is safe to say I will Never return to great wolf lodge.
