Great location, very comfortable, clean, and everything in working order!! Highly recommend the quick walk to the swimming beach for a quick dip in the Mediterranean every morning.

The location in Ortigia is amazing. The street is charming and the living room and the bedroom are both light and airy rooms. The apartment was clean and tidy. The kitchen is okay, but not very well-equipped. Only for limited cooking. Bring your own sharp knife and bring your own cork screw. You cannot drink the tap water at all - not even boil it and make coffee. It is very salty and gives everything a weird taste. The bathroom is very small and very claustrophobic. All the plumbing is so-so. The shower is okay, but washing long hair takes a long time, because of low water pressure. There is a washing machine in the apartment, but a part was missing, so it could not be used during my stay. There is air condition, but the power shuts off all the time. It took me some time to figure out that there were two power switch boards, one inside and one outside the apartment. The housing office was generally helpful, but not in this case. I spent half a day with no electricity and it was 38 degrees outside and very hot inside without aircondition and light. I could open the shutters for light, but then of course everything got very warm very quickly. Not a great day, to be honest. The street and the building is incredibly noisy. If you decide to stay here, bring ear plugs. The dogs start barking outside at 6am and the neighbors seem to have a fondness for using power tools at day break. I would not recommend this place and I would not book this apartment again.
