Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location, had a valley view room which was fantastic. Spotless hotel, food was great, staff couldn't do enough for you. You think the hotel is miles away from anywhere but with the railway next door you are 10 mins away from the center of Heidelberg.

ALLES! Vor allem die Auszubildende am Empfang war Ultra freundlich und nett. Alle ingesamt aber wirklich sehr zuvorkommend, dieser Besuch bleibt sehr positiv in Erinnerung.

The funicular railway was under refurbishment whilst we were there so wise to check first as this is a major attraction and the best route to the town

This hotel was on a mountain top overlooking the city and the beautiful river. Couldn’t have asked for a better location. The weather didn’t cooperate but oh well!

Only a minor thing here. With such a luxurious hotel.I was hoping that the towels in the bathroom would be plush, but they weren’t.

We booked a superior room with a city view, and while the room technically did overlook the city, the actual view was squeezed between two buildings directly under the roof area, where flies and mosquitoes seemed to gather in large numbers. As soon as we opened the window, they quickly came into the room. The hotel was also far less tranquil than expected. It appears to be a very popular destination for hikers, bikers, cyclists, and tourists coming to enjoy the panoramic city views. As a result, the restaurant was constantly overcrowded, and there were large numbers of people around the hotel grounds throughout the day. Unfortunately, this also created parking issues, and we were unable to find a parking space upon arrival. Overall, we would not recommend staying here. In our opinion, staying downtown offers better value for money, easier parking, and a wider selection of food options.
