"No parking, not enough bed sheets or towels"

I booked this accommodation as a base for a mini break with my children, my sister and her child. I booked it with “free parking included.” My first concern was when I booked through Hotels.com, I then received an e-contract from the host which contained an outline of the booking conditions, but a different cancellation policy which had been booked and paid for via Hotels.com. I raised this with Hotels.com Who told me to ignore these emails. My second concern was that I didn’t receive any information about the parking or check-in procedure. I contacted the host who said details would be sent at 2pm the day I was due to arrive. I explained that this wasn’t convenient as I would be driving 3 hours to get there and didn’t want to stop to check my messages to establish what I needed to do on arrival. This was ignored. On arrival, we established there was absolutely not free parking included. There was on the road parking, payable via a meter. Once in the property, it wasn’t what we were expecting. This is just a block of flats! It’s not luxury apartments. The hallways are very narrow making it very challenging with luggage and children. They are also grubby and smell. The lift smells. Our “apartment” was clean and the two single bed rooms were fine. The bathroom smells. There was no bedding provided for the sofa beds in the living room, and not enough towels. When opening windows, the smell from the Indian then filled the room. Stay elsewhere!
