Lovely quiet location with a pub for good meals and a vineyard just up the road. Easy drive to lots of Clare Valley vineyards. Lovely lounge and kitchen area with a fireplace (we didn't need to use). Nicely air conditioned bedroom and lounge area. The building is a nicely conserved historic building. Loved the use of the washing machine and tumble dryer. They are a must when on a long road trip.

The bed was a little hard for us but that is a personal choice. The bathroom floor gets very wet and needs a shower screen. The wet bathroom floor is very slippery. We needed an extension power cord so that we could use our laptops on the kitchen table. The extension cord was quickly supplied by the hosts but perhaps a desk near a power outlet may be a helpful inclusion in the very spacious lounge/dinning area.

Lovely place to stay in a quiet little town. Fireplace was cozy with plenty of firewood, well stocked kitchen with ample delicious breakfast supplies and a complimentary bottle of wine which was actually very good. Everything was spotlessly clean. If you need to contact the host though, use a text message not a message through your booking platform as this was not read.

Had a lovely 4 day break in this lovely cottage in a quaint little town near a great pub! Hugh modern bathroom, big bedroom, very compact kitchen and living area which was quite small! Nice fire and reverse cycle a/c also worked well with the cold. Bacon and eggs, bread and milk were provided which was nice.

A very cute and well presented cottage for what was a two night stay. The very spacious, modern bathroom that was equipped with a large spa as well as a washer and dryer was an added bonus. We also appreciated the provision of a breakfast pack containing bread, eggs, bacon, juice and milk. The nightly rate was very reasonable for the accommodation and facilities.

I wouldn’t describe the following comments as things we didn’t like but, rather, as suggestions for consideration. The cow’s milk provided was long life milk and it tastes different to regular milk, which I would have preferred. We found that the cut wood provided for the wood burner was slightly too long for the size of the firebox and would have been easier to use if it was just a cm or two shorter. I’d also suggest splitting a couple of the large pieces in half to supplement the smaller kindling provided to get the fire going more easily. We were aware of other comments regarding the size of the kitchenette, which was quite compact. We didn’t try to do anything elaborate so it was adequate for our purposes but others may find this restrictive. One aspect we weren’t really expecting was the fact that, while sitting in the lounge area near the fire, we could hear the conversation of the folks in the adjoining cottage through a closed-off opening in the corner of the common wall, which was slightly disconcerting. Those relatively minor observations aside, though, we had a very enjoyable couple of nights in a character-filled cottage.
