La Pietra Del Cabreo

The property itself is beautiful and in an amazing location. The staff were generally very attentive and helpful. The breakfast is good and great facilities such as the pool.

We had a power cut whilst we were there which affected our stay and resulted in us having to cancel our dinner reservation and we had to stay in with no power for a couple of hours. It is quite expensive.

The location was amazing. The room very spacious and comfortable. The pool was one of the nicest we have seen. Breakfast was great. And all the staff were helpful and charming but see below.

It was disappointing that there was no bar area (as suggested in the description) and a planning constraint that prevents sale of non local drinks. The wines were great but no apertivo of any kind was most disappointing. I would suggest this is made clear in the property description. We ate at La Pietra on two evenings and the food was fine but 40 mins to get a glass of wine at the table and our food order taken demonstrates that there were insufficient staff to cope.

Beautiful property, located in a very quiet area within the rolling hills and vineyards of Tuscany. Good breakfast and dinner in the conservatory. Close to vineyards in the area for tastings. Very nicely maintained grounds and plants / flowers.

The pool was advertised as heated which is one of the reasons we chose this hotel over others. However, the pool was decidedly cold (I couldn’t enter on a sunny May Day) even though apparently the heat was on. Check out is very early at 10am even though breakfast is until 10am, feels rushed. Would advise 11am would be more suitable at the price paid.
