La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Shorewood

My reservation was for Mon, Jun 02 - Tue, Jun 03 just as it is stated on this request for my review but when I went to check in at the hotel I was told that I didn't have a reservation & my reservation was for 6/3 - 6/4 & since I booked on Expedia the hotel couldn't change or cancel it. So instead of staying 1 night I was going to be charged for 2 nights - ok whatever. BUT, 6/3 the staff nocked on my door around 11:20am to tell me that checkout was to be at 11am and they were the ones that made me pay for 2 nights! The front desk staff was terrible but the housekeeping staff was very friendly!

As soon as you walk through the doors, you are immediately hit with a poor, dirty odor which continued throughout. The room and bathroom was extremely dirty. The mattresses were old and squeaked every time you moved. The air conditioner sounded like a ghost moaning all night. The furniture showed extreme wear and was chipped and peeling. The walls are thin and you can hear conversations from other rooms. For the price that they are asking, I would have expected a much higher quality experience.

La Quinta is a very very good Hotel, i recommend it to anyone who wants to stay here, Manny and his team are amazing 10/10 would definitely stay again 🙂🇨🇦

Great location and friendly staff! Room was very bright, and clean.

After 12 hours on the road my dog and I were happy to lay down. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. LOVE the coffee machine in the lobby! The only thing I would recommend is creating a fenced in dog park. I search out hotels, gas stations etc that have these. Many people now travel with dogs. It would be great for friendly dogs to run and play after traveling.

Very impressed with the property and grounds. No problems at all.

It was a little noisy from interstate 55 being near but doable. What was most upsetting was the lack of hot water for showering. It was 4:15 in the morning and I don't think many people were actually up and showering. I said something at the front desk as I was checking out and was told you have to run the water for 5-10 minutes "for it to get warm". This was unacceptable. I will not stay here again.
