The George - Luxury Boutique Inn

The property was extremely clean. When we arrived the owner was outside “dusting” the bushes and plants!!!! Wonderful experience, would highly recommend!

This property is amazing. It’s a very beautiful Victorian house that has been fully renovated. It’s super clean, lot of light in the room, my bedroom was super large and the bed very confortable. The staff was awesome and she gave me nice recommendations for restaurants and wine tasting. It’s at a walkable distance from the city center and restaurants. I love this place and I will definitively come back.

We stayed at The George last year, a few months after it opened and we were so pleased with the excellence in every way. After getting our tickets for Napa Valley Jazz Festival in August, 2022, we booked right after in early fall to stay at the hotel again. See below for what went wrong! Breakfast is still good!

I asked for the same room 203, because it was a terrific room; nice and open with a chair right by the window. However, when we reached the hotel we were assigned 302. First, we are 76 and 80 and were placed on the third floor, with steep stairs. Thank GOD we're in okay shape! Second the bed was a double and the mattress was way too soft and way too small. Third, my husband is tall and he had to watch his head because that room has the weird slanted ceilings. Fourth, with the middle room on the third floor you can hear all the sounds coming from everywhere in the house. Fifth, make sure someone share where the lights are in the halls because with the no key system you have set up, without a light you cant see nothing! We generally stay at very nice places, and at $1600 for 3 nights at The George, I expect more! I wasn't happy with our accommodations this time at all!
