Buyer Beware of Sonder. A day before we were to arrive, we were told the shower was broken. We had the option to stay and be moved to another room the next day, or get a refund and find somewhere else. We chose to stay due to the short notice and the difficulty in finding an alternative. THE NEXT DAY, THERE WAS NO OTHER ROOM AVAILABLE! For 2.5 days, we did not have a shower. This is New Orleans with 90-degree temperatures and 85 percent humidity. You cannot call SONDER; only use their text option on the app. Finally, they agreed to comp our stay and provided some compensation on the third day. This was acceptable to us. HOWEVER, THEY HAVE GHOSTED US ON THE REFUND. It has been over a month. I'm not sure how they are associated with Marriott, since they wouldn't accommodate us at the Marriott just a block away. Also, it is similar to an Airbnb. We discovered they don't have a regular maintenance person, so we had to wait for the building owner to come out and fix the shower.

Do not book through Sonder anywhere. My booking of 2 condo units was cancelled 2 days before Jazz Fest in New Orleans. I had made this reservation 3 months ahead of time. I got a full refund but a lot of frustration scrambling to find another place. I was told in July, they were no longer partners with Marriott, which seems to be a lie, as they are advertised here with Marriott. I was to be compensated $150 per unit for my inconvenience. Sonder can flush their $300 down the toilet. This is an unreliable company and not truthful.

The details on how to check in were not communicated before arrival. It states location is staffed and it is not. The A/C in the halls and elevator does not work so the 100 plus degree heat from New Orleans makes it an oven inside. We were finally assisted by another guest who happened by. Downloaded the app and found the door code in the app to enter the room, which did not work so we were still stuck in the hall. Called customer service while also chatting on the app, after 40 minutes on hold (in the heat) someone answered and she took another 15 minutes to be able to change the code to get us in the room. The backup lock for the door is barely hanging on, light bulbs are burned out in several rooms, the TV required a code to watch and after waiting 2 hours on chat they sent me info about Chromecast and how to do that. As it was now after midnight and I was not familiar with Chromecast and how to do it, we decided to shower and go to bed. There was not enough wash cloths for us so we had to bathe with hand towels. We were ready to get out of that place.

location was great The apartment was spacious The washing machine and dryer were handy with a family of 4.

No free to air television. couldn't watch the news or sports etc. The management of Sonder scimp on the toiletries. Smallest bottle of body wash, shampoo etc. Don't expect a good view of anything.

Beautiful apartments. Spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and answered messages as soon as possible.

Need to double or triple glaze the windows. Location makes it very noisy and sleep was not easy.
