Royal Yao Yai Island Beach Resort

Best location on the island: massage, shops, places to eat.

Lovely hotel on a beautiful beach. Rooms were nice- but the balcony did not overlook anything special. However we spent very little time on it so this did not matter to us. The breakfast was nice-omelettes were huge! Good variety and kids enjoyed as much as the adults. Supermarket and gift shops within a few mins walk from the hotel for supplies. The location is the biggest attraction! Beach is gorgeous with the most amazing sunsets. Lots of lovely beach cafes along the beach to eat at night. Kids really enjoyed the pool and the slide. If you like iced coffees there is an amazing coffee shop called The Cat Cafe on site which sell amazing iced coffees. We did a boat trip to Hong Island from the hotel-arranged through the tour rep located at the hotel (Sak)! He was very helpful, friendly and gave us a good price for what turned out to be an amazing trip! Once at the hotel we were able to get a speedboat transfer back to Phuket from Baan Larm Yai Pier (5mins from the hotel) to AA marina in Phuket for THB 200pp almost 1/4 of what we paid to get to Yao Yai from Phuket. Would have been helpful to know this prior to arriving on the island as there are so many Piers in Phuket to use- we ended up paying significantly more than we needed to had we known this before arriving. Would be worth emailing the hotel prior to any stays to ask about the transfer over from Phuket. The main pier on Yao Yai (Chong Lat) isn’t the only pier to access the island (and definitely not the closest to this hotel) Would stay again and recommend as it’s very reasonable and in a perfect location.

Dejligt Hotel, fine værelser. Ikke alt for stort hotel. En virkelig en skøn strand. Meget lille by, men der er alt hvad man skal bruge. Flere resturanter lige ned af gaden. Købmand og så kan man leje knallerter lige ud for hotellet til næsten ingen penge. Det gjorde vi og kørte rundt på øen, det kan klart anbefales. Men ellers meget stille og rolig sted og ø i det hele taget. Her kan man virkelig komme ned i gear. Man kan også leje longtail både på stranden og tage på tur. Der sidder også en mand på hotellet hvor man kan booke forskellige ting.

For lidt liggestole ved poolen. For meget klor i vandet, så ens hænder føles helt mærkelige. Det knep lidt med plader til morgenmaden også nogle dage.

Hôtel magnifique et très bien placé sur une jolie plage. Très confortable et propre. Très bon petit déjeuner. Hôtel hyper bien adapté pour les enfants avec pleins de jeux.

Wij waren blij met de negatieve reviews van de laatste weken, want het personeel was zeer gefocust om het goed te doen. Kamer was mooi, zwembad heerlijk, ontbijt was goed, mooie locatie. We hadden geen vocht in de kamer, er waren geen rijen bij het ontbijt, bedjes bij zwembad waren altijd beschikbaar, kamers werden elke dag goed schoongemaakt (mits je wel een appje ‘‘s ochtends stuurt). Er staat dat het 5-sterren is, dat vind ik het niet. Maar voor de prijs die ze vragen kan je ook geen 5-sterren verwachten.

Het restaurant is duur en de service laat te wensen over. Duurt lang voordat er eten is en een gerecht werd helemaal vergeten. Heel slordig. Bij check out hadden we gevraagd bagage op te halen. Dat waren ze vergeten. De douche was bij ons niet echt warm. Dus in de details kan er nog wat verbeterd worden

Alojamiento en una excelente ubicación. Frente a una playa muy bonita y sin mucha gente. Además el jardin de pasto del hotel justo atrás de la playa es muy lindo. Tiene una tumbonas muy cómodas y que entrega un ambiente relajado y agradable al lugar. Buen desayuno, pero con filas para el café. Solo hay 2 máquinas de café de grano para todos los pasajeros.

No es un hotel de 5 estrellas. No tiene las instalaciones y comodidad de un hotel de 5 estrellas. Diría que es un 4 estrellas con suerte. Tiene solo 1 restaurante/bar con muy poca variedad de comida. La isla de Yao Yai no tiene muy buenos servicios y oferta gastronómica.
