Nice room

Missing bath towels, only one employee on site for bar/ poker/ check in, no restaurant on site, view was not good. Nothing really right around, breakfast was coffee and packages muffin or granola bar, not worth the money for the stay. Recommended an off site restaurant for dinner that does not go with this hotel concept - They really need to add a restaurant on site and make the location its own experience given where it is in town

Most horrible staff and check in experience in 40 years of traveling worldwide. Arrived at 12 and was asked to come back at "around 3" since the room wasnt ready. No problem Went to eat and came back at 2 45. The lady at the desk told us that check in was at 3 and we had to wait. I asked to start the registration and it would be 3 by then. She replied that check is at 3 and the room is not ready. Its 2 50 now. I told her that there's only 1 car in the parking lot, the hotel is empty and 4 hours should've been enough to clean our room. She raises her voice and infoms me that check is is at 3. I asked to have reservation canceled and payment refunded. She refused multiple times. Then she grabbed the keycards and threw them at me. I made it clear that she was rude. Her reply was "I threw the cards at you because you are rude". I asked to speak to a manager and she told me she was the manager. I asked for her name and she refused. I asked for cancelation and refund but she refused again. At the elevator, we met the only other guest in the hotel. We asked him and he told us that he checked in early and had no issues.

The hotel is completely empty but when we arrived at 2:40 pm we were greeted rudely by the "manager" and informed check in was at 3. When we told her that it was only 20 minutes, we were informed we could check in but it was still "too early" and proceeded to inform us that "a large group" checked out this morning. My husband told her that there wasn't a single person here other than us so surely at least 1 room was ready (I watched the only other guest bring his luggage in as we parked). We were again told we were too early so I informed the woman that we would sit and wait the 20 minutes if it made her happy. She began the process of checking us in by literally throwing our room keys at us and stating the room was ready. Needless to say, things did not improve. The woman refused to give my husband her name when he asked. At this point it will not matter how nice the stay is...the damage was done. Steer clear if this is their version of hospitality. I ran into the gentleman that had just brought in his luggage as he was returning the luggage cart and asked if he was given a hard time about arriving early. His answer was "not at all." I can only presume that our last name was greeted with thinly veiled racism.

Great room, the only downside (if you can call it that) was that breakfast was slim pickins, but 5/5 overall

Great stay… good amenities like cigar humidor and balcony to enjoy. The one big draw back is the breakfast set up (just pre-packaged muffins and bad coffee). The hotel is fun with great decor.

Surprisingly unique and stylish property

Great place to stay! Very cool atmosphere, there wasn’t a warm breakfast available, but there were some muffins, coffee and breakfast bars.

Nice property. Very clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Do wish they offered breakfast, hot or cold.

After making our reservation by phone, I did not receive an email confirmation of our two reserved King suites. I called a second time and was promised it would be emailed. But again, I never received an email. During my second interaction, I requested our confirmation numbers and brought them with us. The hotel is kitschy but clean. Our suites on the third floor were spacious, clean, and quiet. The rooms have large fridges with a freezer compartment and a microwave oven. The bathrooms were reasonably well-stocked with soaps and towels. The bed was comfortable. I’ve not been to the other hotels in town, but if you are visiting the area and want a space that is clean, quiet, and offers some privacy, I’d recommend Hotel 21. But don’t forget to ask for your reservation number if you make your reservation by phone.
