IDENTITY PROOF: In keeping with Government regulations, we request each guest (regardless of occupancy) to carry a photo identity to present on check-in. Foreign nationals are required to present their valid passport and visa. Indian nationals can present any government issued photo identity and address proof card e.g. driving license, passport, Aadhar card or voter’s ID card. PAN Card will not be accepted as the above. Also, please do keep handy proof of corporate affiliations, if you have made a corporate booking. Please note that for security purpose all Indian guests are required to present a valid photo ID proof (Voter's ID, Driving License, Aadhar Card, Passport or any other ID with address approved by the Government of India) at the time of check-in, else the property has the right to deny admission. "1.Booking.com's credential needs review. 2. Lemon Tree Premiere Hotel needs to get better in dealing"

The room was booked for my friends travelling from the UK along with their brothers from Chennai. When I called Lemon Tree head office for confirmation of booking, they didn;t confirm me. When I told them that it was booked through Booking.com, the gentleman asked me to call Booking.com for my query and he was very impolite. I decided to call Lemon Tree at Bhubaneswar and I was told, the server was down and they would get back to me after the server comes back. I didn't get any call whatsoever from Lemon Tree till my friend checked in the next day. While Booking.com. booked this accommodation, I was shocked to see that the invoice sent out to me was different from what booking.com sent to lemon tree. It was an excess amount of 25%. When I asked Lemon Tree Bhubaneswar tom explain, they were clueless and made an extremely poor presentation. These people should never handle the hotel front office and reception. They have no basic knowledge on how to handle such situations. They asked me to contact booking.com and gave me the impression that they don;t care much if booking.com booked as a third party. When I insisted on sharing the invoice given to them by booking.com, they did share and it reflects the way booking.com charges deceptively to unsuspecting customers. The same set of my friend had stayed at the same Lemon Tree Hotel on the 19th Feb-20th Feb, which was booked by Agoda and the clarity in the invoice was transparent. My self and my friend Mr. K Raja Ratnam along with our family members use booking.com regularly. But this particular incidence made us cautious to be extra careful while using booking.com in the future. This isn't expected from a respectable MNC like booking.com. And I would suggest, you should get a proper reply from Lemon Tree on this issue and share with me. Also do let me know why I shouldn't discuss in the global platform like Quora and why I shouldn;t share my experience with everyone else on social media.
