Very well located property, comfortable modern rooms, comfortable beds, higher floors on the street (the noise was limited in the room). The staff was very helpful.

My daughter treated me to a stay here May B/H weekend as I’m recovering after a serious illness, and it coincided with her birthday. We wanted somewhere central in Madrid with a bit of “wow” factor. A Perfect location in a fabulous city. 1. Check-in + staff:Check-in was efficient and smooth. Special shout-out to *Prince* on guest experience - he was amazing, went above and beyond and made us feel cared for. 2. Special touches: We had balloons, cake and a handwritten card in the room for my daughter’s birthday and my recovery Really appreciated after a tough year. 3. Bed + amenities:Comfy bed with a pillow menu, thick towels, full-size shampoo/conditioner/shower gel, and an espresso machine with tea selection. Mini bar prices were reasonable - small cava only €6. 4. Breakfast: Amazing. Good buffet selection with everything you could want, plus cooked-to-order extras. We did have to ask for basics such as coffee cups and utensils. 5. *Join Unity*: Sign up for Hard Rock’s Unity loyalty program before booking. We got discounts and perks which made it better value. The not-so-good: 1. Classic room: Small and poorly laid out. Ours overlooked the noisy atrium so there was constant echo/noise. It has windows + air con but no way to get fresh air in. Also the bathroom is split - WC, walk-in shower and sink all separate. I prefer everything in one room for convenience. 2. No kettle: Espresso machine is great, but no kettle, fresh drinking water was provided daily. 3. Bar service: Very slow, especially on the roof terrace and pool area. Long waits when it wasn’t even busy. - shabby! 4. Pool/public areas: Felt like the hotel was still “getting ready for summer”. Pool area looked shabby/untidy even though pool towels were provided. Overall public areas felt unorganised. It would be nice to eat outside at breakfast. *Useful tips:* 1. Avoid Classic room if you can- upgrade if your budget allows, or ask for a room not facing the atrium. 2. Menu of the day in the restaurant is great value. Recommend it. 3. Join Unity before you book for member rates. Improvements needed: Better prep in public/pool areas before peak season, more staff on bar shifts, and kettles in rooms. Music on the Saturday night- hmm not to my taste! Would I go back?-Yes, but only in a higher room category and if there’s a good deal. The staff + breakfast make it special, but the classic room experience didn’t match the price.
