Courtyard by Marriott Petaluma Sonoma County

Very nice clean and quiet rooms. Everyone that worked there was friendly and pleasant. Quick check in and out.

I liked the pool & room was nice. Pool gate sensor was not working though.

The people at the front desk were polite, pleasant, helpful and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful, super clean and comfortable. The young ladies at the refreshment counter were lovely.

Restaurant and Bar was closed whole time due to to no staffing. Couldnt watch Amazon or Netflix as internet was out. Toilet paper holder was broke

I don't know where to begin! Marriott's been my go to for 30 years, I think it's time to break up. Using the app for your free night is difficult at best. I tried to change my reservation at the front desk to see if I could use a free night that was expiring in a few months and I was told to call the 800 number which I did. The woman who I ended up with was impatient, rude, grammatically challenged answering sentences like "I don't see no...." double negatives in abundance. She cut me off several times. She also assured me that we would not have to move out of our room, that we would simply cancel the last day and rebook using the free room which she did for us. However, and I don't think was by accident, she changed us from 2 queens to a king which meant we had to pack up after 4 days and move after being assured by her and the front desk that we would not have to. And, I also believe this was no accident, instead of using the free room which was expiring in Oct 2025, she took the free room that expires next year in 2026. The hotel is practical but NOT hospitable. Maybe this is a "thing" now, but to not have free complimentary coffee in the lobby?? Breakfast for 2 was a whopping 52 dollars. Considering the location of this facility and not being close to anything downtown within walking distance, at LEAST offer coffee! There were complaints of the front desk being rude on other review sites, I did not not find them rude but very quiet. Definitely pleasant when spoken to, just didn't say much at all. And in 5 days we saw the complimentary "fresh cookies" one time. The room was clean however being new I was surprised to see a few things broken and not maintained in both rooms. The 2nd room we had, had a faulty receptacle. Not a good surprise when you think you're charging your electronics before going to the airport the next morning. And then there's the homeless camp out front... It's a shame, this is very close to my daughter's house but we won't be back to the Petaluma Courtyard. And I want my free night back!!

we stayed overnight while attending a wedding in Sonoma. We chose this property over the fancy Sheraton across the HWY 101 and we are super happy we did! This Marriott is new, sparkling clean, awesome staff, nice "market" and bar, very comfy beds with great sheets. The bed is usually extra important to me, this one is amazing! I will stay there every time we go to Sonoma.

That a bad odor on the bathroom there's were a little hard

1 - Called 4 times to get the bedding for sofa couch and went to front desk to get it my self 2 - no housekeeping staff at 830pm. 3 - no dental kit at reception. 4 - Called front desk several times and put my call on hold for longer than normal. 5- visited first and last time.
