Casa Didi - Sintra

Very clean, very comfortable and only a 10-15 minute walk to the best of Sintra Old Town

Didi Guest house was very close to the centre. The place was very clean and safe to walk around in the evening. There were plenty of cafes and restaurants, so breakfast wasn’t a problem at all. Our host Mario was very nice and helpful and replied to my messages very promptly. The views from the property were amazing!

The property was beautiful, lovely furnishings and very clean! Location was perfect, close to historic Sintra

A bit noisy as on a busy road but you get used to it. Some noise from neighbouring apartments but that is to be expected in an old building. We couldn’t work the coffee maker. I think it needs to be descaled? One chair was wobbly.

The apartment was well furnished with everything travelers would need. The views from the balcony were breathtaking and the access to a patio was unexpected.

The walk back from town was a little challenging for an older person.

Lovely location, clean, much bigger than it looks on the photos, excellent windows allowing it to be quiet even when heavy traffic goes through Sintra during the day. Very good communication and made available sooner than expected which was much appreciated.

The only thing to mention is that when running a tap or shower in one of the bathrooms, (presumably) the water tank makes a LOT of noise; you can't have a shower when your other half is sleeping as it will surely wake them up. But that was easily remedied by going at different times :)

Really nice appartment, comfortable, enough living space, nice kitchen with all facilities, one bedroom with bathroom en suite. Two bathrooms, great showers. Also, it stayed nicely cool inside. Nice vieuw.

In the appartment: nothing we didn't like. The only downside of this appartment is the very busy road (although at night quiet) in front. Parking in front of this appartment is not possible. In general, Sintra is not car friendly! So if you want to spend most of your time in Sintra, don't hire a car.

We had problems with lock, both getting in and leaving, key would get stuck. The wardrobe in one of bedrooms had horrible smell, we could not put clothes there.

The property is in a beautiful location in the Sintra hills with beautiful views of the surrounding area. We loved the original features of the rooms mixed with modern home comforts. The outdoor patio space was a bonus - great for sitting and reading with a glass of wine in the sun or shade.

It was a bit of a hike up to the property, which will be fine for fit and healthy guests but not easy for anyone with mobility issues or for young kids (though ours managed and you can order an Uber).
