La Colombe d'Or Hotel

The hotel felt very luxurious. The bar was excellent and the food was good. Loved the vibe of the old house.

I was in an accessible room, which meant the bathroom wasn't as nice. The shower was cramped. It would have been nice to have towels at the pool.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with kindness and warmth. Jenny (who was at reception) was charming and engaged us about the property and its amenities. We were upgraded to a beautiful suite and welcomed with champagne!! Dinner at Tonight and Tomorrow was delicious and the setting sublime. It was only a one night stay to celebrate my wife’s birthday, but we enjoyed every moment.

My partner and I were visiting Houston from Portland, Oregon for only a few days to bury his mother who grew up in Houston. While the occasion itself was sad, I cannot say enough how wonderful the folks at this hotel made us feel. Upon arrival, they had left a handwritten letter and a gorgeous bouquet of flowers which we ended up leaving at my partner’s mom’s grave sight. From the moment we walked in, up until the moment we left the hotel, we were in awe of the thoughtfulness, care and friendliness that staff extended to us. We would like to give an extra huge “thank you” to Jenny and Brian for making the experience so special and beautiful.

The atmosphere is lovely - the food is inedible and service is untrained slow and lousy - super disappointing - owner and management must address -

This hotel was amazing ! Everyone there was great and gave me lots of recommendations for my one night in Houston. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to Houston
