Kipper Cottage, Southwold

Fantastic location, very close to the Swan Hotel and The Lord Nelson pub and the beach is just a little further than The Lord Nelson

We were given the wrong code to open the key safe, not a great start on a dark rainy night in January. It was quickly sorted with a call to the agents emergency line... The property is quite small, ok for two adult for a weekend.

Location was excellent, very clean and good quality towels and bedding

Kick out time 10am maybe for the money paid could make that 11am? Also trying to charge £25 each for an early and late checkin/out! Think checking in could be 3pm and checkout 11am. Bedroom are on the small size to get to round beds. Overall good.

Good location for accessing the town. Having a free parking space was excellent. The bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor helped as my sister has limited mobility and the cottage was ideal.

I found opening the bin store difficult. I couldn’t access the recycling bin.

Beautiful property in a perfect location, just as described. Very close to the promenade and the town centre. Designated off road parking space, essential in Southwold.

The only negative was the noise the seagulls made all night, sleep quality poor.

N/A as self catering. Property is so near the town shops it was ideal for exploring in a wet day.

Only a non-slip mat in the bath. Everything else v good.

As an EV driver I was disappointed to be told "no charging from the mains" The property cannot be rented out anyway without an electricity safety certificate so the reason given of "safety concerns" shouldn't apply! An overnight charge would be less than a tenner and the rent was over £1100 for a week so it seems a "mean" deal! My other comment would be that the property seems claustrophobic as the only view of the outside is through the front door and that's of a recycling bin area and car parking! Perhaps a picture from the lounge area taken through this door towards the outside view would give a fairer impression?
