Walker Suite No52 - Donnini Apartments

I was disappointed with the accommodation really very poor the carpet was very dirty only stayed one night instead of two there was an old chair outside the room and what looked like blood on the wall will not be staying again sorry.

The location was good for our purposes. There were plenty of mugs and glasses.

The carpet was dirty (really bad), the freezer needed de-frosting to the point that it was difficult to close it. There were lots of kitchen equipment that was lacking. The boiler made a terrible noise that disrupted sleep in the adjacent bedroom. The flat was boiling hot, like a sauna. The communal hallway is not very nice. Disposing of rubbish was extremely inconvenient. There were holes that look like bullet holes in the en suite bathroom door. The washing up liquid provided looked like a tube of hand cream and was tricky to use.

Brilliant location. 25 minutes away from Glasgow... Instructions on how to check in and checkout were very clear. We had everything we needed for our two night stay... Plenty of towels, toilet paper, all kitchen essentials, pillows, bathroom toiletries etc. Very clean. Beds were very comfortable.

The boiler...low pressure but the heating and hot water worked perfectly. Let the staff know and I'm sure they will sort the issue out. The carpets definitely need replacing (in the hallway) clearly a lot of traffic there but it was a minor issue. We didn't really cook much so we didn't use the oven or hob so we couldn't review but the kitchen had everything you needed. We didn't use the freezer but I did notice there was a lot of build up of ice. This mostly likely due to the fridge door not being closed properly and warm air has flowed in. Just needs defrosting.

Good location and reserved on street parking

The apartment looked great on the photos However was not that clean when we arrived. We had to hoover the living room as the carpet was full of food crumbs. The mattresses need to be replaced as they are past their due date. The Sofa could be more comfortable, coffee table was cheap and wabbly, the fridge and freezer in the kitchen are noisy and emit a lot of heat so not that great in summer. The doors are very creaky which is not great during the night. There was no water pressure in the ensuite shower, this was also mentioned in a previous review of this apartment. There is also no Lift in the block, luckily we were only on the first floor. We requested a cot bed for our toddler to sleep in which was accepted by the hosts however when we got to the apartment there was no Cot bed, After calling the hosts a travel cot was delivered within an hour or so however no mattress or bedding was given with the travel cot. After calling the hosts about this problem they said its their policy not to provide a mattress or bedding for cot beds, This is unheard of and even if it is their policy they could hage advised about it upon booking our stay, So we ended up having to buy a mattress and sheets during our holiday for the cot bed and leaving them there

Spacious functional apartment with everything you need. Well located. Enough parking spaces available. Comfortable beds with enough pillow and bedding. Enough towels. Nice bathrooms.

It's not a case of didn't like or bad. We were 4 grown ups and found the seating in the lounge area (L-shaped couch).wasn't always adequate (not if we watched tv together. Not a train smash.

Lovely spacious apartment, comfortable with great facilities. Free Wi-Fi, Netflix, hairdryer, iron, dining table, breakfast bar, kitchen facilities and washing machine! Bathroom, with bath and en suit separate shower, large bedrooms, mirrored wardrobes, great storage. Carpet well used but didn’t affect our stay. Close to train station and town centre, Would 100% stay again!
