"Such a peaceful and beautiful stay"

10.0

Absolutely amazing place to stay. The lodge was beautiful and so were the surroundings. The ability to reconnect as people while staying here was fantastic. I can’t wait to go back. Josh and Natalie are so friendly and welcoming along with the alpacas.

That I couldn’t stay longer

"A fabulous place, in beautiful surroundings 10/10"

10.0

Dartmoor Reach is a fabulous place to stay! We stayed here for 3 nights (me, husband, and 16 month old daughter) in the Henhouse. The cabin was well equipped, clean, and cosy with sink, gas hob, all the crockery, cutlery, and pans you could possibly need as well as a couple of games, some books blankets etc. The shower block was equally well presented with a proper loo and good sized shower. The water pressure is excellent and the water nice and hot! I'd say it's better than our shower at home! The farm is beautiful and there are some swings, a play area, mud kitchen, and, of course, animals! There are chickens, ducks, pigs , and alpacas (plus a tortoise and guinea pigs). There is an honesty shop with animal feed, eggs from the hens, sausages from the pigs etc. so you can buy some feed and go and feed the animals whenever you like. Our daughter is a bird lover, so was most keen on the chickens and ducks so we had a picnic by their enclosures, but also enjoyed feeding the alpacas (although her little hand was too small to hold enough for them to be interested 😂). Belle was a stand out amongst the alpacas, very cheeky, gorgeous, and a bit pushy. Quite the character! Overall, we had a fantastic experience and highly, highly recommend a visit! There's plenty to potter about doing on the farm (feeding animals, playing, walking etc) and lots nearby (we highly recommend Stover Country Park). We will definitely be visiting again!

I would have preferred a slightly softer mattress but that's purely personal preference!

"We had a great time. It was a brilliant location and the kids enjoyed being able to see the animals."

The location was excellent and the food hamper was brilliant. The cabin was a good size and comfortable and the outdoor shower was fun! It was nice sleeping with the blind open with a great view of the country, alpacas and when clear the starry night sky.

the 'outdoor shower' was not made clear it was a stand alone shower with no cover over it and stinging nettles and weeds all growing round it and the path to it.

"Brilliant! 10/10 - can’t wait to return."

10.0

Just returned from a two night stay at Dartmoor Reach Alpaca Farm and can’t wait to go back! We arrived late on Friday night and were given clear, easy to follow instructions on how to access the farm and get to our cabin. Our cabin (The Henhouse) was clean and beautifully designed. Our toilet and shower block was separate but this was no problem at all as it was just next door to our accommodation. The shower was great, lovely and hot and good water pressure. The welcome book provided us with all the information we may need during our stay and hosts Natalie and Josh were on hand to answer any questions and couldn’t have been more welcoming (even when we locked ourselves out on the first morning and had to knock on their door at 8am to get a spare key) The Alpaca’s are free roaming and were waiting for us right outside our cabin when we arrived! The next morning we purchased some animal feed and hand fed them which was such a brilliant experience! Our 4 year old had so much fun. As well as the Alpacas there are also chickens, guinea pigs, pigs and a fairy trail. Natalie also has her own yoga studio which you can book onto one of her lessons. Theres is also the option to hire bbq’s and charcoal as well as pre order a breakfast hamper of fresh bread, bacon and eggs. We had such a lovely, peaceful stay and would recommend highly. Looking forward to our next visit already!
