WoodSpring Suites Elgin - Chicago

Only stayed here one night on my way to Iowa for vacation. Easy on and off. Lots of retail and dining options. Reasonable distance from downtown Chicago. I’d stay here again for certain, especially if it a multiple day stay.

From the very beginning the check-in was fine the girl behind the desk was friendly and checked me in and a timely manner. Immediately after that everything went downhill, first when we entered the room it was obviously visible the room was not cleaned before we walked in there. The floors were dirty and sticky, there was food splatters on the wall and the bathroom door, there was some white chemical powder around the whole perimeter of the room and the bathroom it was on the walls and the floor, I then realized that there was cockroaches everywhere in this room live ones and dead ones I have pictures to back it up, the upstairs guests on the floor above us had six people in that room and three of them were young children running around from 5:00 a.m. till 11:00 p.m. thumping the walls and the ceiling so loud it was miserable to be there. We made numerous complaints to the management for 10 days straight and they did absolutely nothing about it at all none of them all five of the people we talked to and their management never contacted us back to ask what the issues were, their management is useless. Apparently after me complaining for the 10th time about that noisy family above us they told us that children were not even allowed to be in rooms on the top floor numerous times they told us this but never did they do anything about it until the night before I left because I was so pissed off I could not deal with it anymore. They never even tried to move us to a quieter roomwhat they did do was lie to us and do nothing I will never stay at that dump ever again. There's also more issues this supposed to be no smoking on the premises inside this building or within a certain distance of the entry doors but that was not followed either even their management was standing in the entry door smoking cigarettes.That place is a joke. You could not walk in or out of that building without choking on cigarette smoke from at least five people standing there within two steps of the front door, that is completely ridiculous. I also wanted to mention that only after we checked in and asked if the room was ever going to be cleaned they told us no that they would clean it when we leave, and that the two bathroom towels that they had in the room is the only two we were going to get for the whole two weeks day also only two washcloths for 2 weeks, and only two rolls of toilet paper for the whole two week period that was never said to us before we checked in. Also we were never even offered a freak breakfast or even a coffee during our whole state the whole time but yet they advertise they count you free breakfast that was a lie also. That was the worst day I ever had at any hotel in my life. And finally while trying to download pictures of all the Cockroaches their website suddenly says the pictures are invalid to download. These people are scammers.

It was very clean & the staff was professional.

No breakfast offered here but convenience to food locations good.

They provide refrigerator microwave and a stove top to accommodate longer stays And they allow my doggies Thats what matters most

Did not get service at all. The smell was awful. The sheets were awful. Everything about this place is disgusting

It felt like this hotel was designed by a computer.
