"Location location location"

10.0

We have just returned from Christmas week in St Anton with Ski Esprit, and all we can say is First Class! The staff, the accommodation, the location and the service were all fantastic. Ski Esprit: We have travelled with Esprit before and always been very happy. This trip exceeded the previous holidays. There were so many enthusiastic staff members for every aspect of the stay - child care, kids clubs, waiting and bar staff, and every one of them had a smile on their face and were so helpful. Pepi Gabl: The accommodation has recently been refurbed and was bright, clean and great quality. We had suite 201 which has 2 twin rooms, a small adjoining room (lounge) separate bathroom and toilet and balcony. The chalet hotel is literally next to the Nassereinbahn which takes you up to Gampen which is a great starting point to head off across St Anton's vast ski area. The adjoining Jennewein Sports shop has storage for equipment arranged by Esprit - great to be able to walk to and from in your shoes and dump your skis at the end of the day. We love St Anton and Esprit made it another wonderful visit. Highly recommended.

"Fantastic easy location"

10.0

We stayed here with Esprit. The chalet staff were amazing. Food delicious. A really excellent stay. Make sure you check you room has 2 separate bedrooms plus a lounge area - ours did (I think it was 305) and it was much better than our friends' room. Right near the hire shop, nursery slopes and bubble car so perfect spot.

"Great holiday, thanks Esprit and Chalet Gabl"

8.0

A great week skiing in St. Anton. Chalet Gabl is right next to the ski lift and ski hire shop. Walk out of the hotel into ski hire (which stores boots and skies) and then onto the slope and the ski lift. Beginners slopes at the bottom, were great for my 4 year old. Hotel was lovely, good condition. The rooms a nice size, those with a balcony looking out onto the road also had a small kitchenette, with a useful fridge (though it wasn't equipped with cutlery/utensils). Esprit were fabulous (as we've previously experienced). The bonus this year was we dropped off the kids for ski lessons and the staff warmed them up and then got them dressed (including suntan lotion) and took them to ski school which were 10-12 followed by lunch. My little girl in nursery went out every day, on the lofts, to the park, to the bakery. She did painting in the snow and had lots of fun. The only downside was childrens high tea at 5pm, which didn't really get served until 5:30 due to the process of taking orders and slow serving - the kids had been sitting around for 30 mins and were starving. We did a day ski guided over the mountain mid week for €20, which was the cost of the bus journey, though it's unlikely this will continue in future years as there are plans for the Austrians to ban it (as like in France). The ski region is fabulous, the blacks aren't as steep as in France, though the quieter runs. In march it was slushy in the afternoons as its been such a warm season, but still skiable. Will defiantly be back in a couple of years.
