Sandburn Hall Hotel

Sav nav was a bit confused on the way there and the turn off could be better signposted. However the hotel was excellent, clean, tidy and well maintained. Would definetly stay again.

Stopped two nights, one on a package. Very comfortable hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff. Couple of observations: only one chair in a room for two people, loads of space for a second. Nowhere to put your open suitcases, except on the floor, what happened to good old fashioned luggage stands? Food very good, especially breakfast buffet, but… I asked for a little bit of garlic butter for a steak, it initially caused some concern as there was no option for it on the menu, however “the chef has managed to find you some” It was a small quenelle, and a bit in a small pot. I found the next morning they had charged me £4.50 for it! They should offer ‘Cafe de Paris butter’ as standard! But the steak was excellent! We will stop again.

Excellent location, staff,food and property.

The room was immaculate. The staff friendly and helpful and the next door restaurant was excellent for dinner and breakfast

Lovely property and rooms. Very quiet and cozy room. Huge beds and traditional furniture

We had a lovely stay. Only downside was the extractor in the bathroom was on all night and kept us awake. No way of turning it off

An absolute perfect place to stay and unwind . Ideally located 10 minutes from York.Friendly and helpful staff where nothing is to much trouble . The breakfast certainly sets you up for a good day sightseeing. Would definitely recommend hotel to family and friends.

Great 3 day stay. Although room was small it was comfortable and well equipped. Staff were attentive and welcoming. Breakfast was good as well.
