Le Chateau

A beautiful character building with a lot of charm. Choosing a balcony suite at the front is totally worth it. The hotel staff were neither friendly nor rude but just came across as indifferent but not what I’m used to when dealing with hospitality employees. But then mostly everyone I interacted in Pondicherry seemed like that so it must be a regional thing. There was no daily housekeeping which also seemed odd. Despite these things, I would stay here again solely for the charm of the building and convenient location. Just two short blocks to the ocean.

The pro property upkeep, the breakfast,the staff were not value for the rent of the property that we paid for the night

Likes only the location of the hotel which is in French Town

Charged 7500 /- per night (which is at par with some good 4 star hotels)for a room which was small, unclean, shoddy, breakfast offered was below average considering the money they charge. The rooms here is not worth more than 1500 per night oyo hotel

The location, the breakfast, the service staff...and the cafe next door!

I think the rooms were a little musty because of rains earlier. I had to air mine out ever day...that helped.
