Le Chateau

Location was great.

If we paid normal prices, our stay would have been a more reasonable. However, we paid about $210 AUD per night (more than I have paid for a nice hotel in Australia), the prices were inflated because of NYE. That’s fine that the cost was higher, but I expected better service in line with the higher cost, unfortunately the service was appalling. The reception staff were not friendly at check in or check out, or any time in between. We tried to pay for our room about 4 times but every time the eftpos machine was charging upstairs. I saw the staff be rude and unhelpful to other customers as well. No smiles at all. There is no room service - We had to specifically ask on our third day to replace the water and towels. Breakfast was terrible. They put a Christmas cake in our room on our last day which was nice, but that was the only nice thing we experienced from the staff. The location is fantastic. Pondicherry is a really cool city but unfortunately our stay at Le Chateau put a massive dampener on our time there.

No parking facilities Shower had no hot water - on a freezing day

Lane in which this hotel is located is a bit too narrow. That makes locomotion a tad tougher than it should be

I dint get the INVOICE & RECEIPT which they assured ,would be mailed and messaged(whats app) to me., I found it so weird!!! If booking.com can see to the matter,pl........

location is nice but unfriendly property, the staff will lie about check out and they serve the most lousy breakfast

The property has limited staff, they don’t oblige any request even if we have 3 high category room, for 2 hours extension, I had to book an entire night stay as the staff blatantly lied that the property is sold out

very unfriendly service, we had 3 rooms , the last stay was good and hence we went again , but zero value for money
