The New Inn

Comfortable,clean,cosy rooms,top accommodation.

The area is popular with walkers but the Pub shuts at 7PM as I guess the trade drops off. We arrived after 9pm with no one from the establishment around. Unfortunately we had no bottom sheet on our bed, so had to find the linen cupboard for a fresh sheet. There was also no crockery or spoons in the room, just disposable paper coffee cups and wooden stirrers. The seal on the shower door was also torn from one end at the base, resulting in a puddle on the floor every time you showered. For the cost per night I would have hoped for a little more care and attention.

A disappointing stay. The room was average, nowhere to dry towels in a room with no window, just a rail that wasnt heated. They were still damp the next day. The breakfast was just small cereals and croissants etc from the night before, not the full English (although you could order this) The worst part, however was that it was always closed when you wanted a drink or food. On the Friday, we came back at 10. Closed. But on the Saturday we came back after a day walking the dales at 7:45. Closed, lights out, in the dark. Fortunately the pub 50 yds away had some availability, but really? A dales on closed Saturday night??? Would not recommend this to anyone
