Regency Salgados Hotel & Spa

Lovely hotel, nice areas, nice pool, loved the food truck, comfortable bed and pillows.

The parking situation wasn't great. We arrived and parked in a spot just to go inside and check in and ask for a parking space. Whilst doing this the receptionist mid way asked us to remove the car in case the owner of the parking space arrived. She wasn't rude but it was inconvenient as after getting our space it was obvious we would change our car as we also needed to get our bags. She just had to wait for us to finalise check in. Not to mention on our last night when we arrived at the hotel someone was parked in our spot and when I went inside to alert someone they told us to park in another place as due to us checking out the next morning someone must have given our spot to another car. Overall just a bit confusing.

This was my second stay at the Regency Salgados Hotel & Spa, and I would happily stay again. The biggest strength of this hotel is the staff. Every member of staff I interacted with was friendly, professional and genuinely helpful. They really make guests feel welcome and are a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is modern, clean and well maintained. The rooms are comfortable, the pool area is excellent, and the overall atmosphere is relaxing. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy some time away. The location is also good. The beach is within walking distance, and although the hotel isn’t in Albufeira Old Town, it’s only around 12 minutes away by Uber, which typically cost us between €6 and €10 depending on the time of day. For anyone who enjoys the nightlife, restaurants and atmosphere of the Old Town, it’s very easy and inexpensive to get there. If I were to suggest a couple of areas for improvement, they are only minor points. The toilet paper provided could be of a better quality, and while the breakfast was perfectly acceptable with plenty of choice, it can feel a little repetitive if you’re staying for several days. Neither of these points affected my enjoyment of the holiday, and I mention them only as constructive feedback rather than criticism. Overall, this is a hotel I have now chosen twice, which probably says more than anything else. Great staff, clean facilities, a lovely pool area and good value for money. I would definitely recommend it and would not hesitate to return for a third visit.

A super smart hotel . Greeted by the lovely Patricia who was helpful throughout our stay . Rooms were lovely with nice attention to detail. Beautifully thick & soft white fluffy towels , great smelling toiletries and a large comfortable bed . Brilliant digital system to show if you require maids to come in or do not disturb . Breakfast was great everyday , the staff work constantly to keep all food fresh. Bar snacks & splash food truck were great options for food . Lovely pool area & pool , a little chilly but ok when you get in . We eat out most evenings dining at Bellavita , Italian, All you can eat steakhouse, and a few restaurants on the marina which was a nice location . We took a boat trip to benagil caves which was impressive, no dolphin sightings unfortunately. As we both have knee issues we chose to use ubers to get around . They were fast , reliable and very cheap . We had a fab week and would definitely return .

A localização e as comodidades no geral. Bom pequeno almoço. E por algum motivo fizeram-nos um upgrade do quarto.

Em regime de meia pensão, as bebidas não estão incluídas ao jantar, e em momento algum isso é referido na reserva efectuada pelo booking. E aquando do pagamento das mesmas, é cobrado “automaticamente” no talão uma gorjeta de 8% do valor total. Se não estivermos atentos, acabamos por ser enganados, o que acho no mínimo inaceitável por parte de um hotel de 4 estrelas.

- Zimmer war bei der Ankunft nicht richtig sauber geputzt, der Schrank in dem der Kühlschrank stand roch übel, der Terrassentisch war voller Fingerabdrücke; - es gab 2 Tage nur gesalzene Butter zum Frühstück; die Auswahl war sehr begrenzt und keine Abwechslung; - die Auswahl des Abendbuffets war sehr überschaubar und die Hauptspeisen meistens verkocht; - die Stühle im Speisesaal waren immer voller Brotkrümel (auch abends!)
