During my stay, approximately $2,000 USD and 1,000,000 COP were taken from my money belt inside my hotel room. I had no guests, and there was no forced entry, which strongly suggests the room was accessed by someone with a key. I also noticed clear signs that the room had been entered while I was away. When I raised this with management, I was not allowed to review security footage, which is deeply concerning. I made the mistake of paying in cash, which likely exposed how and where I kept my money and left me with limited recourse. I would strongly advise other travelers to avoid this property and take extra precautions with valuables.
