Hotel Cacique Real

I stayed at this hotel recently, and unfortunately, I was really disappointed with my experience. While I was getting ready in my room, the front desk guy opened my door without confirming if I was inside—super unsettling. The next morning, I was sleeping and they opened my door AGAIN! This has never happened to me before, and I travel often, so I was pretty shocked. I asked to speak with the manager, but no one assisted me with that. On top of that, the noise was unbearable—dogs barking non-stop, construction work (chapiando), and people passing by constantly. If you’re trying to sleep in or relax, this is not the place for you. The dog started barking at 6 am every day, making it impossible to get a peaceful rest. Sadly, I won’t be returning

No AC, asked for Fan not available. Opened window was very noisy. place needs some TLC.

El lugar es muy agradable y el jardín es hermoso, ideal para una estancia relajada. Está un poco alejada del centro (15 minutos caminando) lo cual proporciona tranquilidad. El desayuno sencillo pero delicioso. Muy recomendable lugar para pasar unas noches en La Antigua

Rooms was spacious,clean..I don't like room hadn't AC,I Sweating during the night,before the check out,they had to check the room before let you go..feels very uncountable,made me feel like I was stilling something..Didn't like that at all.. I'll not coming back..

This winter, we decided to escape from Washington, DC, and visit Guatemala. Initially, I had only booked a two-night stay in Antigua, planning to spend our first two days in Guatemala City. However, about a week before our trip, I changed my mind and opted to spend our entire stay in Antigua, ultimately choosing Hotel Cacique Real. Knowing our flight was scheduled to arrive at 5 a.m., I booked a room for the previous night to ensure we could rest as soon as we arrived. I reached out to the hotel via email and Facebook to inform them of our early arrival, so they would be prepared. When we arrived at the hotel around 7 a.m., someone was there to greet us and hand us our keys as soon as we knocked on the door. They showed us to our room, and we immediately crashed. Our room was on the first floor with comfortable beds. While it felt a bit moist, a dehumidifier and fan were already in the room for our use. It was chilly in the early morning and at night, so the room was a bit cold, We didn’t spend much time at the hotel, but it offered lovely views of the mountains from the upper levels. Although it’s a little off the main area, it’s only a five-minute walk to most restaurants and shops. Overall, it provided a nice refuge during our first day and night in Antigua.
