Country Cabins Inn

The small cabin has “Three bears” theme. It’s cute inside and reminds you a fairytale. Beds, pillows were very comfortable. Communication was easy through the phone and texts. Bathroom was updated. Everything was clean. A couple of hundreds feet from the cabins there is a gas station with a store opened 24/7. Pizza Hut is also located on a walk-in distance. And, as we drove back to Route 80, we saw several more places to eat. There is no “check in / check out process”. Manager texted me a map of the place and a cabin number. He left cabin opened, key was on the table. Before we left the cabin, I text the manager back and left the key on the table.

The address shown on the website has town as Lyman, WY while in reality it is Mounting View, WY, located several miles from Lyman, and far away from Route 80. Due to the huge storm, we could not drive for about 2.5 hours and reached the area in the dark. It was hard to drive in the complete darkness between Lyman and Mountain View. There are no lights on the roads, you need to do several left turns and, in the dark, roads hardly visible. In the day time it could not be a problem, but at night it was. Also GPS could not find an address under Lyman and it added the unnecessary stress. I contacted the place and only then learned that cabins are located in Mountain View. Cabin has a small coffee machine and a package of coffee, but no tea bags. Even one tea bag could make a difference at the time we finally reached a place close to 10 pm.

The cabin was spacious, including a large mini fridge. The bathroom seemed like it had been recently renovated. The owner was friendly. It wasn’t quite a perfect experience, as I had to wait several minutes for the owner to arrive to check in, the sink drained slowly, and there was a dirty towel hanging from the bathroom door. Overall, though, Country Cabins met my needs at an affordable price.

There was no breakfast. I was wishing there was. Otherwise, a great stay. Thank you.

I really like this place and the owner is great. My one complaint, keeping the rating from being perfect, is with the A/C. It cut off after an hour and would never come back on. There is a sign on the A/C warning to not put it on too high or too cold. I didn't. But when the temps are very hot, you need a working A/C.
