54 São Paulo - Exclusive Apartment Hotel

After a long drive to get to Lisbon, the warm greeting and help carrying our luggage in from the car allowed me to sigh in relief and begin to relax immediately. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. The reception staff, bar staff, and housekeeping staff all shared excellent attention to detail. The property is beautiful, with gorgeous bougainvillea in the courtyard and well appointed rooms. Our room had some nice pieces of antique furniture balanced with minimalist modern art. There were also easily accessible washer & dryers for doing our laundry, and clean kitchens stocked with appliances if we wanted to cook in the apartment - which we did not because of all the fantastic local restaurants.

I think the only thing that could have been better would be if we had spent more days in Lisbon. Our stay was too short!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and warm. The free drink our first evening was lovely. The apartment is spacious, the bedding super comfortable. The bathroom was large and luxurious.

The carpet wasn’t thoroughly vacuumed. (while doing push-ups I noticed debris). The apartment we stayed in had no windows other than the sliding door. Since the sliding door opened onto a shared common courtyard, we never opened it and had the blinds closed at all times. It’s too bad there’s no other windows for ventilation and views. Also, the shared courtyard has a bar area where on our first night revelers were loudly partying and disturbing our — albeit early — sleep.

Good location, easy access and check-in. Room was large and clean.

Rooms can vary widely, and you might end up in a room you did not book or expect. They mix all pictures, so it's impossible to know in advance the room you will get. Instead of a bright, nice room, we got a "cave" room with no view or sunlight. No breakfast or parking. Not a good cost-benefit, and honestly, you can get a much better hotel and room for the high prices of this place.

We loved everything about our stay. The check in was easy, the room was fantastic and having laundry facilities on site was an unexpected bonus!
