The room was separated from the next room with another door which was locked, still kind of unsecured feeling. Noisy & heard conversations of next door. The toilet was part of the entire room, no separation at all, surpised me.

Nice service from the staff, like on a 5* hotel. Comfortable beds, but missing a desk in the room to work from instead of a (too) high coffee table. Breakfast is good but the room is crowded and it can be hard to get a table. There is nothing to do in the area, but you can take a Grap to the EON mall nearby.

I recently stayed at the Fairfield by Marriott South Binh Duong, and while there were some positives, unfortunately, my experience didn’t fully meet expectations. The staff is incredibly friendly, and pleasant. The service is also satisfactory for a business hotel — its attentive and made sure we felt welcome. However, what impacted our overall experience was the distance from the city centre, the airport, the closest amenities / restaurants, etc. Basically it’s far from everything. That can make it quite inconvenient for those looking to explore. And you need to factor in additional travel time to get to anywhere cos of the traffic. Of course, if you’re staying there solely on a business trip and / or its conveniently close to wherever you have to get to during your stay, only then I’d recommend choosing this hotel. We were on a work cum leisure trip and at the end of the day would prefer to step out, but it was very painful getting to the nearest restaurants / tourist districts. Please note, the nearest mall / shopping centre is also at least 1/1.5kms away. You cans however choose to use delivery apps. Secondly, there was a lack of communication / understanding of our booking - under the stay elevated stay elite program on bonvoy. Don’t expect every staff to have knowledge about it and we had to explain to the front desk what were eligible for and upon checking in we did have to pay an additional amount too because according to the hotel staff our bonvoy app booking wasn’t eligible. Found this strange because we’ve stayed at other chain properties too and booked via the app, so here it seemed like a case of upselling to me. We just complied because we wanted to just get to our room. Also, just a side note - being a 3 star hotel, it doesn’t recognise tier status as such. Another thing is around the laundry services, there is a washer dryer on the 6th floor, where you can do your laundry yourself. In the mornings however, some housekeeping / trainee staff go around collecting laundry in case you have any to give. Our mistake, we were probably unsure of the process, and it wasn’t as straightforward as I had hoped. We gave the laundry to them and even asked if it was charged or a free service - they said it would not be charged. However we later got handed a bill for the laundry, which we paid up. We did clarify it with the front desk and they said it would be chargeable. Well, so we paid for laundry that wasn’t even ironed, folded and handed over, it just simply washed and handed back, which we could have done ourselves. Anyway, lost in translation I suppose, but still I’d assume by a paid laundry service you’re getting the whole deal of washing, drying, ironing and folding. But it’s not the case. In addition to the extra charges upon check-in that weren’t clearly explained, all this was a bit frustrating. However, the restaurant oryzaa is decent, good and friendly staff, we enjoyed some quiet dinners with quick service and even the breakfast was alright with a live egg station. The hotel is definitely in a quieter area, but if you're looking for easy access to the heart of the city, this might not be the best choice.
