Oakey Cottage

Proximity to town, great restaurant and very excellent hostesses. Great breakfast.

Can’t really complain about anything at all. If I was being picky the hot water regulation in the shower was a little tricky - not insurmountable :)

Oakey Cottage was spacious for our family of 4. The daily breakfasts were wonderful. It was quiet and nicely furnished. We also loved the private outdoor space.

We struggled with the key because it mentions a lock box to the right of the door. The correct lockbox was hidden behind a hanging planter, so we didn't see it and instead, saw another lockbox that was actually to the right of the door, right around the corner. So there are actually two lockboxes one foot apart from eachother. We had to go find someone to get help, and she said, it's actually this one hidden behind the hanging planter. She said many people don't see it. I think this should be changed in the check-in information. The bed in the main bedroom was not comfortable. You could feel the springs. Adding a foam topper would be very helpful.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped. Located close to town centre with off road parking.

We had some difficulties with the shower temperature.

The included breakfast and service next store were both fantastic!

Couldn't find the plug to get the fan in the upstairs bedroom working. It ended up being kind of hot upstairs a couple of evenings, but otherwise the place was great! We didn't have any hot water at first, but I was able to figure out what the issue was and then we had as much as we needed. Perhaps add a note on the living room table describing what needs to be done to turn on the hot water and where to find the plug for the fan for future guests?

Breakfast was amazing staff particularly Corinne was fabulous!

I hope the double bed will be bigger.
