Budget 8 Motel John Day

Excellent burgers at Bare Bones next door.

I tried to ask the man a question regarding the area.And he completely ignored me.I repeated myself three times and he still ignored me.

We extended our trip from Utah one day longer to make a detour and see the Painted Hills o. Our way home to the Oregon Coast. We made a last minute reservation in John Day and chose this hotel. Check in was quick and easy and the gentlemen behind the counter was friendly…he even gave me some Lindor chocolates:) The room was clean and had a huge flat screen TV, super comfortable lounge chair and exercise bike! It’s a little outdated, but I could care less. I look for clean and comfortable and it was both!

I stayed here because I was tired and booked at the last minute. Would I stay here again? If I were in the area, depending on the circumstances, I would. The staff here was very polite and friendly.

For the price it was clean & safe

This place was old and run down. Not at all how it was represented.

Bathroom door could not close dirt .close,durty sheet,sink cracked in 2 pkaces .dirt

Was an older building, but the rooms were large. The rooms were clean, and they were doing work on the grounds. Overall, an excellent value.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom sink was slow to drain and the faucet was stiff and difficult to operate –– a minor issue. Overall the motel looked dated with the furnishing having a thrift store look but everything was clean and the stay was pleasant.

Took two tries to finally get the right room. Booked a room with double beds,1st given a two bedroom w/a double bed in each room. Then exchanged that room for another two room, bedroom with a king in one room and and 2 doubles in the next. The king bed in the main room was not clean nor was the bathroom from the previous quest and the owner acknowledged it and said these are clean. They offered laundry, for $2, only one washer that worked. At check out they tried to charge me $3 for the dryer. Very old outdated room s and bathroom. I dont recommend.
