Staybridge Suites - Cardiff by IHG

Great hotel, very modern, good location for bay and city centre which either can be walked to easily in 15/20 mins without moving car around Got IHG diamond upgrade to one bed suite with lounge with balcony that gets the sun and very pleased, bed was really comfy, didn’t use the kitchen but better fitted than other Staybridge hotels , breakfast nothing special but hey it’s free , managers social evenings were good One stop (Tesco express) next door is handy if you want to cook Would have preferred a walk in shower to a bad but no big deal Car park is £10 but it’s not very big and shares it with Holiday Inn Express next door, we were lucky someone was leaving as we arrived but other parking on the street is free till 8am if your leaving early Would return for sure when back in Cardiff

Location. Value of on site parking. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Reasonable breakfast - not as good as Premier Inn. Quiet overnight. Easy to walk to centre/Utilita Arena.

The room could have been cleaner. There was some fluff on the skirting boards, particularly in the bathroom. No air conditioning so room was hot (not even Summer temps) and no way if ventilating it. Strange selection of pans/dishes! Two big saucepans and a casserole dish. Would have been fab to have a small microwave as using the oven on made the room hotter. We had a table to eat at but only one chair!

Interesting location; very quiet despite being reasonably close to shops, entertainment and the sites of central Cardiff. Not the warmest atmosphere, rather stark decor/rooms. Very professional and clean. Friendly staff, who want to help. Good amenities, parking on site, a nice surprise with a waterside bar in the adjacent hotel, a fitness room and a meeting room. Good sized rooms and packed with everything you could ever need. Great bathrooms. Nice breakfasts. Free social hours with beer and wine. Good value.

Spacious, very clean, well kitted out, comfy bed, great bathroom, friendly staff, quiet location, good breakfast. Definitely will return.

Towels felt old and tired.

Die Lage sehr ruhig am Wasser, Innenstadt zu Fuss zu erreichen. Wunderbare Restourants in der Naehe.

Been charged for parking extra

Have been back to this hotel for a few years now but the breakfast option is the same everyday. As we normally stay for at least a week, a change to the hot breakfast option during the week would be very much appreciated.
