Hyatt Place Colorado Springs Downtown

This hotel is in downtown Colorado Springs, and is close to the field we were going to on a Saturday for a HS soccer state championships. Parking was either pick your own on the street or pay for valet. Glad I valeted because wasn't a fan of downtown. We got there after 9pm and I tried to find some dinner with my 15 yo daughter. It was suggested we just walk along the main street. Not suggested with a 15 yo. Pretty much only bars open at that time and walking around at that time - she was pretty uncomfortable. We ended up going back to the hotel and buying a snack for dinner. That night I kept waking up because of the noise on the streets below. Lots of motorcycles and cars cruising all night. We were on the 6th floor. I ended up having to turn on the fan at 2am to drown out all the noise. Breakfast was what you expect from a Hyatt inclusive breakfast bar. We were able to walk to the field. Probably won't stay there again in the future, though. Not because of the hotel itself - rooms were spacious and clean. But Colorado Springs downtown didn't make me want to visit the city again anytime soon.

Location is nice. Hotel is new and clean.

The staff was rude. More busy with their private stuff instead of the guests.

Parkmöglichkeit. Entweder den Einparkservice für über 30 Dollar die Nacht oder das Parkhaus gegenüber für 7-8 Dollar nutzen. Kostenlos war hier das parken wie beschrieben nicht!

Great location in central C Springs. Hotel rooms are well appointed and clean. Quite comfortable.

Access to the hotel on arrival is very weird. The reception desk is on the 2nd floor, but there are no signs or posted information, so I wandered around on the street trying to figure out how to get in!!! I finally went through a door from the valet parking area (off the street) and had to use a phone to call the reception desk to let me in to the elevator! I was staying for 2 nights. Both the first evening and the next morning, my card key didn't work to use the elevator (I know it wasn't the card because I could get into my room), as did many other guests, and I had to use the stairs several times, which are only at the ends of the hallways. Then when I went to the reception desk to inquire, no one was there and I had to wait about 10 minutes! Finally someone appeared. Why don't they have more than one person at reception!?!?!? Frustrating. Breakfast was nicely laid out, but the food was only so-so. Eggs were dry and crumbly, and the cut up fruit was past its prime. Could be better.

The Staff, location and property are amazing. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The parking in the area is tough and expensive.

Staff is friendly and efficient. Lots of options for breakfast. The rooms are large and comfortable.

The there is not a designated parking garage or parking lot for the hotel. Valet takes the vehicles to a public parking lot behind the building and it didn’t feel secure.
