Old Prestwick View - Donnini Apartments

We really enjoyed our stay. Bedrooms were very spacious and the kitchen had everything you could need for a few days. Plenty of parking available. The views out to the golf course and to Prestwick beach to the left are a major plus point.

WiFi wasn’t great for the duration of our stay, to the point where we gave up and used mobile data. TV is quite small but this is a minor criticism.

Location, spacious, secure parking and great communication. Comfy beds.

Shower very weak. Oven needs a good clean. WiFi weak. Needs larger plates and also no pasta bowls. Would be nice to have some fresh milk for arrival. However.... these things did not spoil our stay... the apartment is great.

wi-fi was patchy and for some reason could not get STV channels. (We did heed the warnng not to touch the Freeview button)

As we were working nearby during the day and travelling to other locations in Ayrshire the location was very central and it was an easy walk into town for shops and restaurants (wind assisted most days).

The wi-fi was patchy and we had to use 4g sometimes. 2 keys would have been easier as we did not always arrive or leave at the same time. These were minor points and did not detract from a great stay.

Good points - location, lift to the property The view and flat cosy, clean and warm. I have stayed in Donnini apartments many times but feel standards are not being maintained as previous review from last year expressed same issues

Not so good points. I see from a previous review in June 2023, there were issues pointed out about furniture in need of repair or replacement. I feel these issues have not been sorted as I had same issues table bench, very wobbly and did not feel safe to sit on. Reading Chair legs in need of repair also, Not enough crockery only 2 large plates. No spatula, cheap frying pans, No basic condiments - salt, pepper, olive oil etc. Beds not comfy and couch and chair could do with a steam clean.

The apartment was excellent, comfortable, warm and the comms from the staff were top notch.

I didn't use the Wi-Fi as it is generic BT wifi and the passwords have not been changed. It is trivial for an attacker to compromise such default credentials.

The location of the apartment was great and the view was lovely.

The shower could be more powerful.

Spacious, two bedroom apartment with fully equipped kitchen . Separate bathroom and large on-suite shower room. Apartment looks straight into the golf course with a good view of the airport in the short distance, We booked last minute after coming off a flight. Were only there as a stop off but were surprised at the local facilities. For example, a short walk to the left, you will find the beach, a play area and ice cream parlour/hot snacks. A 10/15 minute walk to the right is the town centre with a lot of shops and pubs including a Wetherspoons, Prestwick looks ideal for a short seaside / golf break and this apartment is ideally situated. Own parking spot at back of building. On top/second floor with elevator access.

Had to close living room patio door/window as little flies seemed to be attracted inside. Only other thing was the electric shower, hit or miss with temperature, going too hot or cold. Had to settle on a lukewarm temperature for constant use.

Would have been nice to have milk , although we did book last minute Key box hard to locate
