The Foresters Arms

The staff were friendly and helpful, I really cannot fault them. The breakfast was excellent also as was the beer and overall atmosphere of the pub. The location was perfect for us.

The room was incredibly cramped, it should have been a single occupancy (with a small double bed), the toilet was a cube that protruded into the room on one side (and made a god awful noise as a macerating system) and the shower protruded into the room opposite the toilet, which would inevitably steam up the whole room. There really was not room for two people or a double bed. I'm afraid an at £73/night excluding breakfast I don't thing it was good value for money.

Dirty walls which needed painting, room was very cramped to the extent that it was tricky getting into the room with a bag. A double bed would have been better than the two singles shoved together. Single glazed window needs replacing. Room was very cold and radiator needs bleeding. Hall carpets needed cleaning. Booked for two nights but left after one and checked into another hotel. Couldn't get out quickly enough and we were desperate to get warmed through.

Convenient near family

Room was immaculately clean, bed comfortable, coffee and biscuits provided. Food in the pub was great and very reasonably priced.

It's noisy. My fault for booking a room above a busy pub. Noise did not stop until after midnight.

The noise from the bar and the bar’s tv. The noise from the smoking shelter underneath our bedroom window. Accessibility and step down into the bedroom. Small and narrow bathroom.

Traditional local pub on the Main Street. Plenty of parking. Pub was very popular and bar crowded but everyone was welcoming and friendly. Noisy downstairs but quiet in my room. Room was very comfortable and clean. Good facilities, tea/coffee/ biscuits… even an iron and hairdryer. Shower tiny but functional. Had dinner, good pub grub,plenty and freshly cooked. Great value. Staff were really friendly too. Would stay again
