The Foresters Arms

Ideally located for our visit to Oulton Park race circuit. Nicely presented with a lovely beer garden to the rear and balcony for staying guests. Well stocked tea tray in room. The staff were friendly and helpful.

This is an old pub and you can't move upstairs without the floorboards creaking. The room toilets have a pump mechanism which is very noisy. In our room (number 1) when we flushed the toilet the shower tray filled with dirty water leaving us unable to use the shower. I did message the site but never received any response.

The location was perfect for our needs. It was only 7 miles from the venue at which we were attending a function. It was easy to find and the parking was good.

Toilet was a little cramped for a man of my size. There was room to have it a little wider as there was ample space in the bedroom to accommodate this. Air con would have been good. (There was a fan)

Resonably good location, room was comfortable although the sound from the patio downstairs was loud, particularly at weekends (this was mentioned when I booked the room)

Breakfast only available at weekends although the web site and a telephone call to the hotel had said breakfast would be available at £9.95 per day. I had breakfast on the first Sunday only and paid £12.49 for it! WiFi could be a lot better. Other pubs nearby had good WiFi so it did not appear to be a signal issue On 2 of the 7 days of my stay, my room was not serviced despite my being out of the room from 09:00 until 18:00 Staff should be more customer centric, I had issues getting a VAT invoice at the end of my stay. My bill for meals was also incorrect and the bar staff somewhat reluctantly had to correct the error when I checked out.

A little old fashioned room but absolutely nothing wrong with it. Didn't like the shower and sink in the room because of privacy

close to Oulton park for a track day and carpark big enough for the car and bike trailer no problem

wasn't here for long so can't say much. bed a bit hard but nothing major.

It was a very comfortable, compact room, perfect for one person. The bed was comfortable and soft, as were the cushions. Everything was spotlessly clean. For what I paid, it was really good value for money and the location couldn’t have been better - parking space, directly opposite the petrol station and on a street with little cafes. The staff were also friendly and welcoming - the cleaning staff kindly popped back in to make sure I had enough tea sachets, too! Thank you for being so accommodating!

There was no hot water coming out of the shower. I informed the staff downstairs (after checking out), and they were very apologetic and kindly offered me a spare room hot shower before I left. Also, although being given the keys were very helpful (having 24hr access to the property), I struggled to get back in when it was late, as the keys didn’t quite fit in the back door (I might not have been slotting them in properly, but it might be quite fiddly for other guests). Thankfully, I was let in by a member of staff who was still inside but I did worry that the keys were not going to work.
