Peace & Quiet Hotel

Uns hat die Lage gut gefallen. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern funktionierte sehr gut.

Die Unterkunft hatte eine kleine Camping Toilette mit einem halben Vorhang neben dem Kopfende des Bettes. Die Toilette hat unangenehm gerochen und dies wurde über Nacht auch nicht besser trotz lüften etc. In der Beschreibung der Unterkunft ist dies nicht aufgeführt worden.

Location was stunning, Bjorn was helpful and friendly, communication was easy when we were there.

The bed spread was very narrow, it would have been nicer if it was wider, as one of us kept being a little out of the covers so it wasn't as restful as it could have been with a wider blanket. It was just the fridge space that wasn't clean fully, having a couple hairs and crumbs from the last participants. Perhaps having sawdust or something to dampen the smell of the toilet contents may have been good.

La posizione è spettacolare, ci sono solo due strutture, ben distanziate, in mezzo al nulla…. Tramite le vetrate si ha una vista davvero mozzafiato. Camera molto calda e accogliente. Bello anche il passaggio in motoslitta dal parcheggio alla struttura. Abbiamo anche potuto ammirare l’aurora boreale!

Nonostante sia una struttura a 4 stelle, ci vuole comunque un po’ di spirito di adattamento. In bagno c’è solo il wc (quello tipo campeggio), e l’unico lavandino è in cucina, con un getto molto forte, quindi diventa davvero molto complicato lavarsi. Per una notte è gestibile, ma sarebbe meglio saperlo con anticipo per organizzarsi meglio con salviette igienizzanti, ad esempio. Inoltre, avrei preferito sapere con anticipo anche che l’unico modo per caricare il telefono era tramite attacco usb… avendo il nuovo attacco usb-c, non ho potuto caricare. C’era una presa elettrica, ma non funzionante (la struttura va a batterie), avendolo saputo solo all’ultimo, ho dovuto tenere il telefono spento tutta la notte.

Such an insanely cool experience. Imagine a frozen over river that you get to on a skidoo. The river is unbelievably beautiful, super quiet. And you’re staying in this really cosy glass hut completely shielded from the elements but right in the middle of nature. To be honest, it’s less about the hut and more about everything around it. The best part is Björn with his insane amount on knowledge, his extreme punctuality, his kindness, his magical ability to make the impossible possible. He looked after us in a way that you really don’t expect but learn to really appreciate.

Absolutely everything. The hut on the frozen lake was incredible. We had northern lights all three nights. The owner, Björn, was incredible and made us feel welcome and comfortable and we learnt a lot from him.

I was surprised the hut didn't have showers but we survived.

Väldigt trevlig off-grid upplevelse, mycket good mat med lokala råvaror lagade utomhus. Mycket bra, väldigt spänt att simma i sjön.
