Bellwort Hotel

Modern and clean hotel with a trendy and convenient restaurant attached. Breakfast and dinner menus offered an affordable and decent selection of food and beverage.

We visit Guadalajara often and stay at this hotel whenever possible, we like it here. Staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and safe and it's walking distance to just about anywhere we like to go.

Great location, new, clean and nice. Terrible service... I wasl told breakfast starts at 7am and once I got there they told me is at 7:30am Cleaning lady showed up until 4pm knocking too loud in the middle of a conference call

The staff was great as always and the room was clean. I like staying here when I come to Guadalajara, the neighborhood is safe and clean and easy to walk to great restaurants and get around.

The Bellwort, while lacking the name awareness and encountering some teething pains, is probably one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had at a hotel in recent years. The minimal style and color palate may not be to everyone's tastes, but we loved it. The rooms are a touch too minimal, as we would've liked to have had a few hooks to hang towels and robes, and a small dresser or cabinet. Having one's belongings strewn about detracted from the lovely room. We also loved the enormous balcony in our Suite Americana. While other reviewers mentioned less than friendly service at the front desk, we experienced the opposite. Everyone was nice, forthcoming with information if we needed it, and responded to any requests. Of course don't go in expecting the obsequious service of some places, and you'll be fine. The hotel just opened a very design-oriented restaurant space. The breakfast we had was very so-so, but this could improve over time. The pool area was lovely, and the business center functional. The location of the hotel is great in Colonia Americana. The Internet connection suffered from some considerable lag at times. This hotel has enormous potential, and could easily become one of Guadalajara's hottest properties. They've got the design down. With a few improvements and tweaks, it could offer the whole package. What great value!

We had high expectations for this hotel after reading some of the reviews, and those expectations were well exceeded. We stayed in the Americana Suite for 6 nights and loved every minute of it. We loved the large balcony, spacious room, enormous and super-comfortable bed (of my god that bed, I miss it!), the Nespresso coffee machine (they only give you 2 pods a day so we bought extras at the supermarket), the USB charging ports on each side of the bed, the design and layout of the room, the rainfall shower, and the generous space in the room. The air-conditioning and free WiFi both worked well too. Included in our rate was a daily breakfast, and I loved that it went till 11am so you could have a decent sleep-in. You could choose one thing off the menu each, plus juice and coffee. Everything we had was done really well. All reception staff we encountered were friendly, and spoke reasonable enough English to be helpful. After 6 nights we went to Puerto Vallarta but had to return to Guadalajara to catch our flight home, so we re-booked the same room at this hotel and they were kind enough to store one of our heavy bags for us while we were away which was greatly appreciated as it save us lugging it around unnecessarily. It was so nice to return to such a stylish and beautiful place, knowing exactly what we were in for. I would stay again in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone wanting classy accommodation that isn't just another generic chain hotel. It is only a couple of blocks from Chapultepec Ave and all around the hotel are dozens and dozens of super-cool restaurants and bars. I could easily live there!

The hotel design was nice but unfortunately that's where it ended. The bedroom had nowhere to put clothes, so we had to keep them in our suitcases or dump them on a chair. There was one trash can in the entire room, that was in the toilet and was only emptied once out of our 5 days stay. The cleaning staff were terrible. One day they never cleaned the room saying they couldn't get into the room to clean it even tho we were gone all day from 8am to 11pm at night. The next day they just made the bed , never cleaned the toilet /bathroom - it was just terrible, and the entire room felt unclean. only 2 towels , no hand towels or wash cloths which were requested. Room service forgot utensils with the food, returned 30 mins later by whihc time the food was cold. The list goes on ...

Todo perfecto con exepcion del elevador, un solo elevador para 7 pisos, y si hay fiesta en el ultimo piso tomate tu tiempo para que puedas llegar a tu cuarto, porque tampoco hay acceso por escaleras, que en cierta manera es muy peligroso, en una emergencia estas atrapado.
