Ciêla, Lusaka, a Tribute Portfolio Resort and Spa

Had an amazing body scrub and massage treatment with Mary.  Got my nails 💅 done by a pro Nancy.  The hotel is gorgeous! 

Service at the pool was slow, but the food was delicious when it came.

Clean room and very friendly staff. There were frequent power interruptions before the hotel generator kicked in, but that is a Zambian national problem and not due to the hotel.

Rooms are big and spacious

Aircon was not working in the rooms. We told reception our room was 33degrees and they said they couldn't do anything about it because they were fully booked. At the restaurant we got there at 6:15pm and were told we could not order from the ala carte menu even though we got there before the 6:30pm cut off time. Other non black guests who arrived at 7:30pm were given the ala carte menu. We observed preferential treatment based on race. I went for the ukuchina spa treatment which was supposed to be 75min but only got 60min of massage treatment

The room was spacious, the property is in an excellent location with beautiful surroundings, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. I also really enjoyed the spa, which was a great experience.

The beds could be made more comfortable, and the toilet doors would benefit from better fitting to ensure privacy. The carpets had a slightly damp odour, which may require refreshing, and the elevators, while functional, were quite slow and could benefit from an upgrade
