We had a wonderful time on Block Island. The hotel was very nice. My only complaint was our room. The room smelled very musty which made our clothing and the bedding damp. We didn't complain to switch rooms as we were only there for one night. In hind-sight we should have because the bed and pillows were very damp to sleep on. Would definitely come back to this hotel, just a different room. I love the location and car service at Champlins.

Our stay was very relaxing. We needed to take a taxi to town which we thought at first to be inconvenient but it turned out to be a blessing. Facility was very accommodating and quiet. No huddle and bustle or car horns or sirens. Beautiful scenery with all the gorgeous boats and beautiful people.

Overall nice hotel, we didn’t get a chance to use the many amenities due to weather but we enjoyed our quiet getaway.

Best place in block

Good things: Staff is great. Raphael on transportation was so helpful. Like that "Ivy" texted me throughout stay. Perfect property. Immaculate. Negative things: Pool was over run with 8 boys playing football in pool. Rough housing. I git hit 2x a little girl around 3 y.o. was hit once. Next time football hit me, I threw it out of pool. I was trying to relax..Also pool loungers were all taken so had to put my belongings in pile on ground to use pool. Towels were hit or miss. Room towels were only 2 large towels to room so if you showered after pool, you had a wet towel for evening shower.

Way over priced Far from town but they did have a free shuttle

Overall the property is nice but for what they charge, there are many things lacking. Pros Beautiful views Fun vibe A few decent options for food/drinks Access to pool, paddle boards, kayaks and bikes Convenient shuttle to town/ferry Friendly staff Cons Room was damp. Even with a dehumidifer running, bedding and towels felt damp the whole time (3 nights) we were there. Thin walls/very little sound proofing - we could hear noise from every room around us (walking, water running, talking etc.) We had a issue with ants in our room and it took several hours and multiple trips to the front desk to get someone to come to the room to address it. Room had a refrigerator but no microwave, or coffee machine.

Had a great time as usual! Rafi was pleasant and helpful with suggestions to explore the island! Be back soon!

I booked here on a whim for a couples getaway and was so impressed. We loved our room, the view, the entertainment for adults ie the dock bar and pool bar. I definitely would steer clear in busier mos if lots of children everywhere isn’t your thing bc it is very family friendly (but we visited early June before school is out.) they have a little playground, an ice cream shop, games etc. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
